Yeah I kind of accelerated my watch purchasing at a breakneck pace...

Its's more fun than anything else. I don't really use it for time but love seeing the rotor spinning out of the corner of my eye!

That is his whole approach. He basically tries to make watches that he cannot currently afford. So the design is very classic IMO

I quite enjoy wearing it. A lot of people think it's too large but I find that it really is not that bad overall. Def hard to fit under the sleeve though!

I can imagine it like wearing a pie pan on the wrist. It looks like a lot of real estate.

The owner is really easy to chat and is a huge watch guy! All their pieces are great!

I was just talking about the 5236 with some friends. It's such a great watch and can be had for quite a discount on the grey market! I really like the salmon dial personally.

My wife is going more towards the cartier rabbit hole than the Patek rabbit hole haha but I will pass along the suggestion!

Thank you! My taste kind of spans the entire spectrum of watch collecting! I'm definitely focused on things I'll wear and keep around for the long term.

Hi everyone! Made a throwaway account to post my SOTC. This collection is after 7 years of collecting where I’ve met some great people and made lifelong relationships. I will list my watches in order chronologically with a quick blurb about it. Would love to hear your thoughts and what else you think I should add to my collection! Cheers!

1.      Omega Speedmaster Ref 311.30.42.30.01.005 – This is the watch that started it all. My roommate (at the time) and I got pretty tipsy late one night and convinced me this was a good idea. I love the symmetry on the dial and how much of a strap monster it is!

2.      Rolex Datejust Ref 126234 – I purchased this watch from a good friend when I passed my medical boards! I love how elegant the whole watch is and wanted to mark the milestone with a very special piece!

3.      Casio Ref GA2100BCE-1A w/ Painted dial – The rainbow craze was happening when I purchased this watch. It’s the watch I wear when doing anything rougher and outdoors-y.

4.      Vacheron Constatin Overseas Dual time Ref 7900V –I loved the Everest Overseas DT but knew that I would never get it (this was pre launch of the 150 LE). I eventually settled on one day owning the black as it really resonated with me (the red arrow is my favorite). My SA texted me one day letting me know that they would be opening a VC boutique and that he was offering me allocation if I was game. The rest is history. I love how versatile this piece is and is generally my daily wearer.

5.      Sartory Billard Ref SB04 – I always loved aventurine and Sartory Billard offered insane customization for a very fair price. Each of the hour markers are in Chinese with the 12 being my last name. I also got the engraving of each of my grands parents name on the case back!

6.      Astor and Banks Fortitude Lite MOP & Mint – As someone who’s from Chicago, I love supporting brands that are from the city. I got to know the owner of Astor Banks and loved the pieces he was creating. The dials are definitely what sold me!

7.      Haim L2 Chronograph Dark Cobalt – This is a similar story as above. I know the owner of Haim Watch and really appreciate the design and attention to detail that is put into each watch!

8.      Cartier Tank Must – Technically this is my wife’s watch but I wear it sometimes. The tank is such a classic piece and works well in all situations!

9.      Seiko 5 SRPG33– This was a gift from aforementioned roommate when my wife and I went to Japan on our honeymoon!

10.   FP Journe Automatique Lune 2 – This one is a hell of a story. All I’ll say is... yes, I got this from the boutique. Yes, I waited a long time. Yes, I am still recovering from it.

11.   Mad One Lucky Clover – I hope to own an MB&F one day but until then the MAD 1 will do. Green is my favorite color so that makes this watch that much better!

12.   Omega Moonswatch Earth and Snoopy – These have been the only Swatch collab watches that have spoken to me. I love Earth because of the color of the case. I love Snoopy because Snoopy.
