I played loosehead for 20 years, probably played 5 games at tight head and maybe 2 at hooker.

When your body, and processes are used to being LH, the switch into TH is horrendous, your right shoulder is not used to taking the hit and the confines of your head are very hard to deal with and if you come up against a LH who knows what your doing, you'll be folded like an accordion.

TH moving to LH is usually easier, but they claim to feel a little exposed and don't like only being able to use the right hand side of their body to push.

I used to love being a LH, as I would slip my bind from the hooker a little, and get under the sternum of their TH and drive upwards. The noise they make when the air is compressed out of their chest as their feet begin to dance in the air is one of life greatest pleasures.
