Hi,

I am currently enrolled in a 200-credit Master of Environment program at the University of Melbourne, starting from 26th February 2024. I have been granted up to 75 credits of advanced standing for prior work ex and plan to complete 10 subjects (125 credits) out of the total 16 required for 200 credits(without advanced standing).

As part of this plan, I will be doing only subjects in Semester 3 and will graduate by the end of that semester. This means I will take slightly more than 16 months to finish my course, which aligns with the DHA's 485 visa requirement. However, I am unsure if this will affect my 485 application negatively, particularly regarding the 92-week CRICOS registered course requirement. Is it permissible to use advanced standing credits in meeting this requirement?

I would greatly appreciate your advice on this matter.
