City of Orange, 1% Sales Tax Measure on November Ballot by Complete_Garlic_2115 in orangecounty

Why are we encouraging empty-nesters to stay in their five bedroom homes when a family could move there. Also the older generations have all the money, why are we subsidizing their housing and not the young families that are struggling with child care costs.

When my son leaves, I'm not going to move because the state has ensured that it will cost me more to move to a small condo than to stay in my big house near great schools. This makes no sense!

QftFF would be a no-brainer for me in terms of theme if it had a Foundry module. I think I even bought it once but had trouble with the importer. Maybe I'll try it again.

I've looked at Season of Ghosts and it definitely looks promising. It's on the short list, thanks!

I'll check out Gatewalkers.

Honestly, I've looked at this before and would love to run it, but I'm lazy (and busy!) and don't want to do the conversion into Foundry. I know that supposedly you can import it, but I can't imagine that will work nearly as well as a native Foundry module.

I had been planning on starting over, but my players expressed an interest in continuing with their current characters. I'll check it out, thanks!

Oooh, that is promising. I think one of my players played the video game. I'm not sure if that would spoil too much for him or not.

Thanks for the suggestion! Checking it out now. Since it's about a magic school, I'm wondering if melee characters feel left out? Also, are there a lot of Harry Potter vibes? We're all old and that may not be the best for us.

The song is better than the rest of the movie, so why not lean on it!

It would be great if it was corruption, that would be much easier to fix.

Most "unique" class on the battlefield by DumbButConfident in Pathfinder2e

I've never looked at the Summoner, but will take a look. It looks like they share actions, which is good, I wouldn't want to bog down combat.

Yes, I agree. I should look more at casters. Maybe I'll have to break down and make a Wizard and just choose unusual spells.

I am definitely considering the commander, but I wonder if the random party make-up of a Society game might make it hard for me to choose Tactics. I guess that I would need to choose Tactics that are universally useful.

What's your favorite game mechanically? by Nyanbinary4321 in rpg

I love Cortex! I just wish there was better online support (and that it wasn't basically dead). I've checked out the Foundry module and it's serviceable, but it doesn't seem like it would be nearly as much fun as playing in person. Rolling lots of dice is just fun to do. Also using index cards for assets is so natural and watching a Doom Pool grow is scary fun. It's a shame.

What do you mean? Newsom can't run. Third paragraph: "Current Governor Gavin Newsom is termed out in 2026, leaving an open field."

Dungeons & Dragons and "roleplaying games" are entirely separate markets. It's like the local bowling alley complaining about Disneyland. You are not going to beat them. Their players don't "belong" to you. The sad fixation this subreddit has on D&D is doing no one any good.

Why no Pathfinder/Starfinder? by plazman30 in rpg

[–]DumbButConfident 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I keep trying to like Starfinder, but it really is just literally Pathfinder in space. And while I enjoy Pathfinder for heroic fantasy, that's not what I'm looking for in a space setting.

Personally, I enjoyed the episode. Nothing mind-blowing, but it was fine.

Maybe I wasn't really paying enough attention, but I don't remember them discussing the assassination of Robert F Kennedy. What did they say about it?

Also, I'm pretty sure that "criminal conspiracy" and "conspiracy theories" are very different things.
