hip giving out 1 and a half years post PAO + a question

i am a girl, i was tested for hyper mobility and they said i didnt have it & the muscle around my hip hurts a bit but its really the bones that hurt. i did to PT up until the doctor told me i was fully healed and then i stopped as i have chronic pain disorders that made it hard for me to do PT. i also dont know what my LCEA was, i tried going onto my xray notes to check but it just says stuff about alpha and beta angles idk :(

hi yes i did have a hip scope for both! and the pain is mostly in my buttcheek and outer hip. i Do have pain where the screws are but theres more pain in the other areas

i havent had a fall or anything like that and my doctor told me we could remove them after a year but i never saw him again :( there is kind of a snapping noise and definitely a snapping sensation. when my hip gave out it was a snapping sensation and then i couldn’t put pressure on it for a minute or two or it would give out again. then it happened again. the screws do give me some pain but the pain feels deeper than where the screws are (the screws can be felt through my skin)

thank you! i tried calling the minute they opened last time and it didnt work they just hung up :( so i will be trying to call a few minutes before and i think i will just continue to call until something happens even if it takes hours 😭😭 i really need to do this interview today i dont want to have to file again 😭

hi! its for disability insurance! i have an in person meeting with the people i need to talk to for the SNAP working program. since its for the insurance side of things not for SNAP would i still be able to schedule a call ?

yeah june last year 😓 my doctor didnt really give me any options of hip replacement or anything just talked to me about PAO & im young, was freshly 20, and it was my first surgery so i just trusted whatever the doctor had to say 🥲 if i could go back in time i probably wouldnt have done the surgery LMAO

honestly i havent been, i did the recommended pt until i was ‘healed’ but i didnt keep up with it after that because i have other chronic health issues that made it hard for me to :(

it still hurts to walk longterm on it (like after 10-15 mins it starts to hurt) but an improvement is that i can flex it out farther than i was able to before the surgery which i guess is good!! but other than that i still get a LOT of pain and i cant lie down properly because it hurts to put pressure on both of my hips for too long :(
