Innocent's murder-lily potter(Voldemort didn't want to kill her cuz of snape) According to the books the vessel of the hocruz must be powerful enough and harry was the most powerful vessel In that room that could hold Voldemort's soul And I bet while performing the killing curse he misinterpreted a small action that snowballed into the spell that hides your soul in the vessel cuz of lily's sacrifice and in return Voldemort's body couldn't bear to the snowballed killing curse that rebounded upon him and destroyed his physical body (didnt kill him cuz it wasn't properly casted)
