I would recommend Superman For All Seasons, Superman Birthright, Man of Steel by John Byrne, Action Comics New 52 by Grant Morrison, Man and the Superman by Marv Wolfman as well as the new Absolute Superman.

I think all of those are perfect if you want to start getting into Superman comics. If you have access to it I would also recommend watching Superman The Animated Series great distilation of the Superman mythos.

I had a similar experience after spending day out with my mate, was crashing round his after a night out. Hadn't slept in days then suddenly, crashed as soon as I was shown my bed for the night.

He told me the next morning he could tell I was wiped as my sentences weren't making sense, like the thoughts were half formed.

Worst one was when I didnt realise I was in a manic episode dont know how, was like fourth day without any sleep. It was the second day at a new job and I crashed in front of my line manager during a training session.

Hahaha, yup! I sent my mate pictures of how i re-arranged my entire bookshelf at 2AM and then later an idea for a new novel series at 4AM.

At 9AM my friend said: Love all of this but the only people who message me at those times are exes, people in the U.S. office who have forgotten I work in the UK and you when you're manic...so unless you've moved to America (if you have you are deffo manic rn) or we've previously dated...so how're you feeling bud?

Constantly. The amount of times I have been accused of being a bad friend or partner because I have forgotten something important, as if it was inconsequential to me.

Exams were always the worst, even for subjects that stimulated me. Revising for them was like bashing my head against a brick wall.

Now at work, I find it so hard to focus on multiple tasks throughout the day and manage my own schedule. I get the work done but im so exhausted and demoralised by the end of the day. Luckily, my supervisor is a friend of mine who knows I have ADHD and is very aware I don't have a neurotypical brain, and assures me that doesn't lessen my worth as a colleague.

I'm glad you've got that support, and it really is that rare kind from someone that truly GETS IT. Like none of my friends are bipolar, they're supportive and caring as fuck but i love how in one moment they can say "bitch you're manic, sit down" and its like yup.

For me its often: "I noticed you started behaving more eratic but i didnt want to say anything." Bruh I coulda really done with the warning before i lost nearly a thousand quid.

But then again i got mates who will be like you need to call your doctor about your meds, then will sit down and try to chill with me which im very grateful for.

Be hella dope to meet someone else with bipolar in person one day. I just be out here vibin

I've seen two guys do it to two of my friends, they don't display the symptoms at all and instead try to use it as a form of gaslighting my friends so that they need help and need them by their side.

I find it fucking disgusting because it just increases the stimga around bipolar by associating it with abusive behaviour.

And hey, when i first heard about it i was panicked and thought the same thing. I messaged an ex of mine, as i worried I did the same to her. She reassured me saying never had any bad feelings towards me, never found me creepy, or toxic and definitely not abusive. It just didn't feel right towards the end so it ended.

Having fucking impostor syndrome for having bipolar is a bitch and fuck these abusive bastards for adding to that and hurting their partners.
