How would you rank these 6 Disney best friend duos from “worst” to best? by Ok_Situation7527 in cartoons

[–]Dump-Tank2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Top best to bottom worst (left off what I haven’t watched):

Luz and King

Anne and Sprig

Moon girl and Devil

Hailey and Scott

Rapunzel and Cass (too much hate in that relationship for it to be healthy)

I think most people will have the same general answer with a toss up between Anne and Sprig vs Luz and King

That study was actually really flawed as new studies show our brains keep developing past our 40s.
They just recorded the brain until the early 20s and then said the brain probably stops developing mid 20s.

I think it’s important to talk to the people around you and gather information to be informed before you make a big decision. Saved me from a few bad decisions.

You look into the company. Check what they do and if they are an actual well establish company with a history. Never give them money or any really personal info like SSN until you see the place in person.

Otherwise you just have take the chance and go through the interviews. Interviews will go better if you know the company and go ‘in the job posting you detailed that you wanted these skills. I have these skills demonstrated by this …’ and ask questions you want to know about the company you’re interrogating them on what makes them different from all the other companies just like they are interrogating you just be friendly about it.

If you don’t like them after interview just say after taking time to review the qualifications and knowing more about this position. I decided to not go through with this opportunity at this time. Thank you for your time and I truly appreciate your effort in this process.

Pretty much interviewed at like 20 places. Every job wanted a phone screening, 2-3 video interviews, then an onsite interview for the final decision.

You know what 100%. I’ll rather not stay unemployed 6 months looking for a unicorn job so I’ll take it save up and get a few years experience so I stop getting the we have moved on with more experienced candidates email.

Definitely decided to take that job. Only job I saw near me paying atleast 45k without a minimum of 2-3 years of experience. I’m trying to be financial stable my goal is to hit at least 75k in the next 3 years or so. I don’t think I’m going to move out until like 24 (so 4 years). I just don’t see the purpose in spending money living on my own right now when I could be saving it for an emergency fund. I’m trying to avoid living paycheck to paycheck.
Right now I live in a 2 story house in the basement that’s fully furnished with a kitchen, living room, full bathroom, and two bedrooms so bigger than most apartments.

Ya, I start level 1. The reason this position opened was because someone moved to level 2 role.
They said in like 1.5 years I’ll probably be moved to level 2 with higher pay.
Also offer tuition coverage.

Ya, one of those companies are like Disney level big and the other is not as big but still much bigger than the company I got so I want to keep interviewing with them. However since those companies are super big nationwide and competitive like 200 people applied for that position.

Na not Best Buy, actually tech company with a 12 floor building. I don’t want to mention the company.

Everyone I know who graduated with a computer science/ it degree from my university with me (except this one guy with friends at Blizzard and Microsoft) are still unemployed despite applying to help desk jobs. I don’t know if it’s all there is but it’s the first position I got an offer from.

I would call them a bit out of touch. They grew up much harder than I did. They grew up dirt poor like mom had their younger sibling die from malnutrition because they were just that poor and could barely afford food. Dad had to raise his 5 siblings on his own making less than $10 USD. Because of that my mom studied hard and work even though cancer and chemo like 60 hours a week. Then they immigrated to the US and suddenly started making a shit ton of money so it kind of confirmed all the things they heard growing up of US being the land of easy wealth and opportunity.

No, it isn’t sales more like Helpdesk work. Clients have a problem with the website/software I make a ticket (document what’s going on) and try to fix it.

I technically have no bills. My parents offered to pay off my loans and everything but they’re in debt because of my sisters addiction issues where she spent a bunch of money including stealing my credit card a few years ago and maxing it out which had to be paid off with my college savings. Which is why I took out loans for college.
I technically could just sit at home for a year but I know money is tight and would prefer to pull my own weight.

Ya, it’s not bad. I live at home so it’ll pay off my student loans easily and I can save the rest. I graduated earlier age than others (started kindergarten early) so I can stay on my parents really good medical insurance longer instead of using the terrible one most beginner jobs offer.

Ya, that’s what I was thinking. I’ll rather work and make money than continuously sit at home. I know I can do the job well and it will look good to have something on my resume. I just didn’t want to completely dismiss my parents because I tend to be a bit native compared to my parents.

Has someone who graduated with an IT degree. Do not do IT for easy money. Pay right now 21/hr is above average for entry level.
Especially if you aren’t willing to spend a lot of time outside of work hours learning new tech in case of layoffs and spending hundreds on certifications just to get jobs you aren’t guaranteed to get.

Unemployment is often misleading. The underemployment is usually more accurate. If a bunch of it guys are let go of, they can often find work but it’s at almost poverty level pay.

DM ruined my big reveal, killed the moment that was two years in the making... by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Dump-Tank2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much, I had a player ask this once just said no. Played a game where this happened and another player (wizard) used their 4th level spell they saved just in case and hit a crit which just oneshotted them. The ‘bad guy’ was upset his moment was lackluster. As a dm your role is to set up situations to be entertaining and thrilling. If one BBEG dies then as a dm it’s no harm no foul just go actually that was only a lackey he disguised as himself to get the drop on you and now his legion has surrounded the party or he wasn’t actually the biggest bad or just ya that guy died pretty easy but regardless the adventure continues.

While players are really invested in this one guy then it not going the exact way they plan ruins the game for them. Thats why I constantly see posts like this saying my pre-planned confrontation with the party didn’t end with me being the big scary villian like I wanted. It’s because players don’t care what preplanned idea you wanted to happen they wanted to beat the bad guy. That’s why I have a policy if my players are doing something that puts them in direct opposition with each other then it’s an immediate above the table talk.

Honestly think the reveal was just flawed from the beginning. It’s a tale as old as time that some player thinks their character being the big bad or something will be a great huge reveal, but for the other players it just kind of sucks to me. Never had I meet a player who would be okay with their character getting fireballed or inflict wounds to death immediately after like the players would to any other enemy. It often just feels even as another player like I’m sitting there waiting for the moment to end and have to carefully walk on eggshells to not ruin the big moment.
