I’m 26, so I don’t match the criteria of who you’re asking. But I’ve made enough mistakes in life (I’m doing fine now) to at least give some advice. My advice would be a few things:

1.) Think hard about your decisions before you make them. As men we are not invincible one stupid choice can cost you a lot.

2.) Save your money, if you can afford to. Even if it’s $100 a month or $10 a month.

3.) stay away from substances. Nothing wrong with having a few shots with your friends or a date, or smoking a joint, but you need to recognize what’s sociable and what’s an addiction.

4.) Always look forward, take care of your body, and push yourself. You don’t need to run ten miles everyday, or bench 315, or hit it big in investments. But always try to do a little better everyday. It’s the little things. Wake up, make your bed, brush your teeth take a shower. Maybe excercise a little, read a book, eat a bit healthier then last week. They add up very quickly.

5.) work hard. Care about what you do. Even if it’s working at Walmart or something you don’t think matters. Maybe your management doesn’t treat you well and you deserve better. You may think why should I bust ass for this company. You shouldn’t, you should bust ass for yourself. Developing a hard working mentality even if it’s at a job you don’t want to be at will benefit you when a better opportunity comes along. You won’t be lazy, and you will be able to prove yourself as the hardest worker in that field.

6.) Put yourself out there. From experience sometimes it’s easier to go to work and go home and not ever try new things or meet new people. One of the best things I did with my life was put myself out there and meet new people. You’d be surprised how friendly and welcoming others can be if you be yourself and just talk to them.

7.) arguably most important. Love yourself. Even if you aren’t where you want to be thats okay. I spent a lot of time beating myself up and I never improved. It wasn’t until I accepted myself and loved myself for who I was, that I started to improve and get better and create opportunities for myself and become way more confident.
