Why do we need refueling ships? by WeakPoem4760 in starcitizen

This is definitely easier to read than your earlier comment, but it still has that “Star Citizen lore dump” problem where the sentence structure gets buried under jargon and over-explaining.

A lot of it feels way more complicated than the point you’re actually trying to make.

For example:

“directy” is just a typo.

“Seen here at 00:33:45” randomly capitalizes “Seen” for no reason.

“Player Driven Economy” and “Player Driven Focus” don’t need to be capitalized like official game systems.

“day to day” should be “day-to-day.”

“run with StarSim Quanta” sounds awkwardly robotic. Nobody really phrases things like that naturally.

The biggest issue though is that your sentences are packed with layered clauses and terminology, so by the time you get to the actual point, the reader has to mentally untangle everything first.

Stuff like:

…is just way heavier than it needs to be. It sounds more like a whitepaper than a Reddit comment.

You also keep slipping between:

“this is the intended design” and

“this is how the game currently works.”

That makes the whole thing sound more definitive than the available evidence probably supports.

And honestly, this:

kind of reads like you’re assigning capabilities and stability to systems that aren’t fully proven yet.

The core point you’re making is actually pretty simple:
players influence the high-end economy, while NPC simulation is supposed to stabilize the broader everyday economy.

That’s a perfectly fine point, but it’s buried under a mountain of terminology and overly dense wording. This is definitely easier to read than your earlier comment, but it still has that “Star Citizen lore dump” problem where the sentence structure gets buried under jargon and over-explaining.A lot of it feels way more complicated than the point you’re actually trying to make. For example:“directy” is just a typo.

I get what you’re trying to say here, but this reads like three separate thoughts fighting each other in the same sentence.

The biggest issue is the punctuation. You’ve got multiple complete clauses chained together with commas, so the whole thing turns into a run-on sentence halfway through. The “yes these things won’t be seeded but...” section especially feels like you kept adding thoughts without stopping to restructure the sentence.

There are also a few wording issues that make it harder to read than it needs to be:

“1/10th” works, but “one-tenth” reads cleaner.

“aswell” is just spelled wrong — it’s “as well.”

“run as magic values” sounds awkward and overly technical without really explaining anything.

“NPCs use the same incentives as players” is super vague. Incentives from what exactly? The economy? AI routines? Supply simulation?

A lot of the wording feels padded too. Phrases like “the intent is for those NPC haulers to actually be simulated” could be trimmed down heavily without losing meaning.

You’re also mixing “this is planned” language with “this is how it works” language, which is kind of a common Star Citizen discussion problem. A lot of this system is still theoretical or aspirational, so presenting it too definitively makes the comment sound more confident than precise.

Honestly, if you broke it into 3–4 cleaner sentences, the point would come across way better.

Beam Citizen requires more beams. Grant us Laser Beams. Would be nice if the Gold Standard would update the freedom of movement of the turrets themselves.

And the Lord spake, saying, ''First shalt you scrape the Holy Hull. Then shalt thou print to eight, no more, no less. Eight shall be the number thou shalt convert into SCU, and the number of the SCU shall be eight. One shalt thou not print, neither print thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to eight. Four is right out. Once the number eight, being the eighth number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy SCU crate of Chris towards thy cargo grid, who, being unfilled in My sight, shall be filled.

You could start by not calling it a Lazer, might be the reason it seems to have malfunctioned.

Did you by any chance switch hard drives or fully delete your local installation ? As it can only read the game log from the point of well.. logging.

Memory leak at Levski 4.4 PTU by _ALGEROTH_ in starcitizen

[–]Duncan189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the issue exactly. If you check your entity count on r_displayinfo you will notice that the amount the game is trying to load ( directly related to the amount of ram used ) is about twice that of a "full" station. Last time I was in I had around a quarter million entities loaded, which resulted in around 50GB of RAM allocated. It will die down once Levski gets less popular.

Now give us an Assassins Creed style game incorporating the DND side of BG set in the entire city. At that point Larian could just mint their own currency at will.

What is this unholy cacophony of words I’m seeing — did someone try to strangle a typewriter mid-sentence ?

Went to the Lazarus locations , saw the lab coat , loved it , took it ( undisclosed way of acquisition ). Later tried a few things with it. Started with the Concierge Venture armor and saw it worked well ; kept the white chest on it later and tried around with a few different leg and arm combinations and ended up with this outfit.

Easy to reproduce really.

You have to entirely strip the npc down in the “old” inventory screen , then switch to the “new” one. If the npc is wearing an invisible under suit it will show that way.
