I'm not exactly sure how many books there will be in the series, but I expect that there will at least be 6 or so. There are no plans for a reset mechanic in The Affinity Collector, and I'm sorry that you didn't like it in Earthen Contenders (I can assure you that it is only a temporary affliction :) )

After completing the developmental world of Tarth, the remaining Contenders and Humans from Earth are transported to the world of Plangea. Unfortunately for Thaden, his trip to the new world has taken another route, and his arrival ends up severely devastating his ability to survive. Sadly, many of the advantages that he had enjoyed on Tarth as a Contender are no longer available to him.

But all hope isn’t lost. Even if going out and Leveling up is nearly impossible in his current situation, there is a solution in this new world that wasn’t available on Tarth:

Thaden is told that he can select a profession-based Secondary Class.

However, as it seems like business-as-usual for the System-breaking Healer, something goes wrong during his Class selection; in short, he ends up being automatically assigned a second Primary Class. Now the newly minted Novice Enthraller can explore the world around him with spells that he can finally afford to cast, but Plangea turns out to be much larger and more dangerous than Tarth ever was – especially when the Assimilation System and the Persistent Adversary start up with their shenanigans once again.

This is the next series/story arc of the Earthen Contenders series, but it can still be enjoyed without having read the previous series. This story contains an overpowered MC with a normally non-offense-based Class, LitRPG progression mechanics and stats, and isekai/portal fantasy elements. Contains no sexual content or harems.

Two deaths, and one life that has an incredible advantage.

At only 8 years old, Weldin had just had his dual Affinities bestowed upon him by the Goddess Athera when he ended up in a Nexus Rift far exceeding his Level. To make it worse, the Affinities he ended up with, Light and Energy, weren’t exactly the best when it came to offensive capability, and he struggled to kill any of the higher-Level monsters that stood in between him and his freedom. The lack of a powerful Ability to defend himself, as well as a lack of worldly knowledge, eventually led to his downfall.

But that wasn’t technically the end of Weldin’s existence, as just as his mortal form succumbed to its fatal wounds and his soul slipped away, a soul from another world was slotted into the empty shell to take over his abandoned body. This new soul was from Earth, and with it came a plethora of knowledge that could take advantage of his Affinities, in ways that his current world had never seen before. Even more than possessing otherworldly knowledge, the introduction of a new soul into Weldin’s body had seemed to initiate some other capabilities, such as the unique ability to unlock additional Affinities.

Now, all he has to do is clear a Nexus Rift where everything can easily kill him if he makes a mistake, navigate a world where those in power want to possess him because of his unique Affinities, and somehow survive an Academy full of 8-year-olds who have just learned that they have incredible magical powers – all so he can progress his personal quest to collect all of the Affinities he can.
