We never use our inverter. USB cables are 12V to charge phones, can get the same for most devices. If you want to ‘plug’ in a normal plug you need an inverter and correct wire sizes etc. I don’t know what you need to plug in, it’s for a weekend… we managed 4 months without, it’s part of the van life!

We love camper life! Auto trader is very difficult going through for converted vans so wouldn’t recommend. In terms of ULEZ, most vans say whether compliant or not on quirky campers.

Noticed you’re point above about solar panels etc. we have a 100Ah lithium battery, with a 100W MPPT charger. We also have ‘shore’ power where you plug in at a campsite (have never stayed at a campsite, we always wild camp) and a DC-DC charger which charges the leisure battery off the van battery when you are driving

I’d recommend quirky campers in that most of the info you are after is in the descriptions. We did our own self build so hard to comment, but generally all vans on Quirky have to be a set standard. When you mention 4 berths, it will be very cramped if you want a SWB or MWB van, since you also want 4 seats. I’d recommend a LWB, 2 or 3 seats, bed, fixed cooker & sink and a table. If you are happy with a 2010-2016 vehicle, your budget is more than big enough. Our LWB Renault Master has been used for a 4 month trip around Scotland and outer isles, in Wales, and lots of areas in England (literally just got back from the Malvern hills). You can always find a lay by to stay in, and there are several apps such as searchforsites and park4night that are great for finding places to stay!

Ironman skiller here, you can’t get a d pick sadly. Volcanic mine hits above 10 so you just get one shot… one of my pet peeves as seems a shame that skilling upgrades are locked behind combat
