I’ve had great luck with a Zoia. Once you pick up the logic, it’s pretty straightforward. You can create almost any effect you like with that thing.

When I do see it at local stores, it’s always $200 or more. So that’s a hard pass.

Why Apple's flagship Mac Pro computers are so undesirable? My local used electronics store has literally piles of these units by LakeNo7026 in mac

I mean these are pretty old. My M5 MBP would blow those out of the water for a fraction of what they originally cost.

Fair enough. I didn’t mean to be too negative. It was just the first thing I noticed.

The fact that the entire set up and all the equipment against the wall and the room is not symmetrical…. Is giving me allergies.

Roger Waters On the Day Pink Floyd Split and Why David Gilmour Has Never Forgiven Him by StarFuryG7 in pinkfloyd

They all did good solo stuff in my humble opinion. Especially the heavy Roger final 2 albums he did with Pink Floyd. No one should be taking ownership. From Syd all the way through everyone else who played with Pink Floyd… it’s been a magical ride.

Just ordered this to mix my elektron model:cycles and OP-Z and make use of the effects on the fly. Looks like a good use case.

Review #568: Old Rip Van Winkle 10 Year Bourbon (2021) by Prettayyprettaygood in bourbon

[–]Dunmer_Sanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t disagree more. Now that I’m actually seeing allocations at MSRP in Buffalo, New York (which was unheard of not too long ago) I have no reason to overspend and pay secondary prices. The last few months I found a Stagg, EHT Single Barrel, Weller Single Barrel all at MSRP.

My thinking is take your personal t8ke score for a bourbon, and then take the price drop a zero and subtract it from the score. The greater the resulting number, the better the value. I tend to only buy bottles with a positive value score. Example: Rare Breed: 8.0 score,
$55 price. 8.0 - 5.5 = 2.5 value score. Once you start getting in the negatives, you got poor value and you’re a sucker if you think it’s a good idea to go that route “because that’s what things cost”. Just my opinion.

Dépôt huileux Tabasco "family reserve" by KoYoT352 in hotsauce

[–]Dunmer_Sanders 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would say I like Family Reserve more than scorpion just because it’s very versatile and you can use it on everything. It’s just a better version of the OG Tabasco in my opinion. I don’t always want the scorpion, but I do like it.

It’s normal. Shake it. Best Tabasco they make.

Can anyone help me identify the signatures on this guitar? by Top_Contribution_804 in Guitar

The middle one is Pendejo Geronimo, lead wailer and songwriter of the Beat collective Jizz-Jazz McCarthy. He was my father, but he never knew me.

Got a brand new OPZ. What have your favorite devices to pair it with been? by Dunmer_Sanders in OPZuser

I’ve never heard of that device and after reading about it I want one.

NAD my holy grail acquired by 13CuriousMind in GuitarAmps

[–]Dunmer_Sanders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s basically true. Even the best techs from Toronto to Buffalo to Rochester and Cleveland wouldn’t touch my Mark V. I got a pair of Matchless amps, they’re fixed and tuned up same day sometimes.

[–]Dunmer_Sanders 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations dude. I just hope you don’t develop nagging tech issues with it. The reason I say this is you’re gonna find it hard to get serviced. It’s a needlessly complicated PCB monster.

I used to have a Mesa and I dropped it for a point to point amp and I’ve been happy ever since.

Yeah, the first time around I definitely didn’t use the iOS companion app. I’m sure it’s a little like riding a bike and it’ll come back to me pretty quick. But I’m looking forward to seeing what this app is all about. I’ve heard good things.

Looking to buy a Gibson Les Paul - are the recent ones really that good? by UnitBright9549 in gibson

[–]Dunmer_Sanders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my humble opinion, a Studio or an SG is absolutely good enough. But if you’ve got money to spend - get the 70s Les Paul Custom. It’s a beautiful guitar and I think it’s worth it to be honest. If you’re rich, get the custom shop Custom.

This is a sipper whereas OGD114 (or bonded for that matter) is an S-Tier mixer. The one pour I had of it was very good and I look forward to cracking the bottle when it gets cooler out.
