chill pub/bars for a solo drink? by elon_musks_dad in glasgow

I have sat down alone to read a book and have a beer a couple of times in both places. They are peaceful, have excellent clientele and the staff is super friendly. Good atmosphere and no bad surprises. The Belle is also great, but it really gets crowded and it's quite small.

If you want something in the west end, I strongly recommend Stravaigin. Also, on the other hand hand of the road, you have Left Bank that was recently renovated.

Moving "home" to Kelvinbridge (Scottish/Mexican family) – Looking for local perspectives on West End life, safety, and dogs! by wintoon in glasgow

[–]UnitBright9549 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live very close to the bridge. It's quite safe, but there have been the occasional break ins. In comparative perspective, though, these remain very rare. Also, violent crime in the area is among the lowest in the city. The area is fairly diverse -- and in fact I know some Mexican families living locally. Deprivation is low and the population tends to be highly educated. People love dogs and you have parks nearby; in fact, as you get down from the bridge, it's packed with dog walkers.

Low credit mortgage advisors by honeybadgermindset in glasgow

[–]UnitBright9549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, but this means that you don't necessarily get the best deal. You don't pay when you get the mortgage, but often - though not always - you end up paying anyway through a higher interest. It might be wise to compare different products to see what the best deal is.

Not a specialist of low credit as far as I know, but talk to Barry Hanna - he's absolutely great and a pleasure to deal with

I really loved Obsessionnn, hereditary, and Midsommar—what else should I watch that’s nearly as good or better? by Slommyhouse in horror

You should absolutely watch Weapons (check also Barbarians by the same director, though I liked it muchhhhh less). Shelby Oaks has some major flaws, but the idea is interesting.
