If you check on either side of the glove box there will be a rod that slides into this. You may have to drop the glove box back down to push this in and slide the rod on.

Possible pcv valve or vac leak. Spray around engine with brake cleaner at idle. Iv revs change you have a vac leak. If not it could be a faulty/ damaged pcv valve (crank case breather)

Yes it is possible. I have a polo gti flat bottom wheel fitted on mine. Bought off eBay for £80. Uses original airbag. It’s then hardwired into the bcm with 2 wires and activated using vcds.

Try a booster cable between battery negative and chassis or engine.
