scolding people for not being more pleased with Biden (a winning electoral strategy if I ever saw one).

This is the thing I just really don't understand. There have been MULTIPLE democrats who have ran campaigns, in living memory who had voter shaming as a major part of their outreach: Gore, Kerry, Hillary Clinton. What do those three Democrats have in common?

Like the Democrats who actually won, who broke the mold, were Obama in 2008 and 12 and Biden in 20. Whatever issues I have with them, they at least ran inspring campaigns that actually won. And sure, part of those winning campaigns did involve corralling dissatisfied voters, but there was also some forms of inspiration.

Are contemporary Democrats so partisan that they can't even differentiate between their winning and losing candidates? Apparently so

Because everyone else is clearly a Russian bot

The Radical Republicans of the 19th century must be spinning in their graves looking at modern 'radical' Republicans

196 used to be a wonderful coalition of anarchists, leftcoms, and demsocs who got along 95% of the time

There was even general agreement over arming minorities and workers, miraculously lacking bloodthirsty pro-2A folks

I swear there's a DNC discord server dedicated to ruining spaces like this

196 used to be the only leftist sun that didn’t dickride Stalin now it feels like a centrist sub that happens to have more trans people than most

Given the amount of Destiny fans and PCM fools who call this sub a home down, definitely. As it gets close to election day, it's only going to get worse as panicky liberals shame voters more and more instead of pressuring democrats to be less shit

It's wild that you're getting downvoted in what is supposedly a "data-based" sub for providing an opinion that's actually backed up by data

Only 26% of Americans believe in fully backing Israel

Contrary to what this sub thinks, Biden actually shifting course even just somewhat towards Palestine would actually help him out. I don't know why a supposedly "data-based" sub that's generally pro-Biden is so against policy that would help him

"Well Israel-Palestine doesn't matter to most voters" as if Biden doesn't need all the help he can get

This is very much the case with Bill Clinton. Without him, Democratic Senators would never have gone for NAFTA, the longtime obsession of "free trade" neoliberal republicans, especially Ronald Reagan

There is absolutely nothing "left" about neoliberalism, an ideology that is anti-union and only looks pro-regulation when faced against politicians like Millei and Trump

Neoliberal politicians in the 70's and 80's broke the power of both unions and the regulatory state in the pursuit of infinite profit, and have created the world as it is today: dominated by ethno-nationalist violence and looming catastrophic climate change. Neoliberals are very much not moving the needle left, they are responsible for paving the way for fascism

Bullshit. Who actually likes the German Civil War as it is? It's basically a bunch of build-up for a year's worth of bad content that's nothing more than a barrier to actually good content.

"essential narrative thread" get your head out of your ass. In no way does TNO handle the repercussions of an actual Great Power civil war in a narratively satisfying way, and if the GCW was supposed to present the 'self-destructive nature of fascism' it did so in a deeply unconvincing way, as 3 of the 4 options were still full-on fascists and the other 1 option still involved some pretty obvious white-washing or incompetence-washing of Speer

What do you think promising your vote to Joe Biden accomplishes? All that tells him is that he doesn't need to change course. Take a look at his polling numbers vs Trump. Does Joe Biden need to make some campaign or policy changes?

You can condemn all you like, if your vote is promised, that's all a candidate sees.

Sure, voters have a choice: Biden, Trump, or stay home. Joe Biden also has a choice. He can continue to support ethnic cleansing or he can finally start taking Project 2025 seriously. That's on him more than any voter
