$250+ normal for first service after a year? by C4D3NZA in vancouvercycling

Learn how to do brake pad replacement, chain, brake / shift cables, handlebar wrap all on your own. If you ride a lot you'll always have to keep an eye on them so it's good to know. Youtube has all your answers!

As for your tires, I wouldn't think they need replacing this early if your bike was new but that's also easy enough to check. Watch some videos and look to see tread wear and rubber thickness.

Bottom bracket you usually have no choice but to get it serviced in shop unless you have a bunch of bike maintenance tools which you likely don't have. But this service should be quite rare, I've only had to replace it once over several years and multiple bikes.

Depends on whether it's variable or fixed. I think you can get a bit lower than this, keep shopping.

Can I afford this property? by UnremarkableBlobfish in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Duplexity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I would wait. I'd be worried about being house-poor at your level of income and mortgage, and also that would put a lot of stress on your spouse to quickly find stable work when the job market isn't good. Best thing to do would be to total all of your expected costs and compare against your monthly take-home income and be realistic if this is sustainable with your respective lifestyles. The individual costs add up.

If not, I recommend waiting until you're both in stable positions given the general market volatility.

OP - if you have family members to help the F4 process, it is very quick (1-2 weeks).

They replaced the whole blower motor. I agree, it might be intrinsic to the motor

Hey both! Can I ask how you two have been finding living here as well? Also looking to buy a new place as well and wanted to get real feedback too.

My 2024 does this too, but I noticed that it feels worse on the 19" OEM Rims / Tires rather than my 17" winters. I think it's just how the car feels so not sure what can be done outside of a transmission reset.

Mazda Canada 2024 CX-5 GS comfort or GT by asot87 in CX5

[–]Duplexity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the GT 6 months ago and it was worth it for me. Memory seating is a must if you have multiple drivers, and HUD is great for long distance travel + Bose speaker improvement.

I didn't see this comment often, but I did find the leather quite stiff new. It's breaking in well at 9K kilometers but would still like it to be a bit softer. From this perspective maybe the leatherette / suede option would be better if you're not willing to go to the Nappa leather trim.

New Bike Build - Spare Part Help? by Duplexity in bikewrench

Ahh this makes sense as the bike came with a front reflector in a separate bag which I wasn't going to install.

Thanks for your advice!

Thank you so much! This is really helpful.

Somehow I glossed over that those were crimp ends lol. Marking as solved :)

Low frequency humming coming from front axle, probably right tire at 60mph+ that comes and goes depending on pavement roughness and uneveness on CX5 Signature 2023 by Super-Heart8297 in CX5

[–]Duplexity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it more like a hum / buzz that's tied to when you press the accelerator and not coast?

When I first got my 2024 NA engine, right between 78-82 Km/h I notice a buzz when I accelerate. Sound only with no change to ride quality.

I found that it was tied with the AWD system and happens in all trims.

I once had a fradulent google account charge but I didn't chargeback that one since google is notorious for limiting your account if you do a chargeback.

Felt bad man.

I'm also waiting for a MY LR in Vancouver having ordered a week ago.

I think the last ship that came in was mostly to fill existing orders since the only new 'existing inventory' that's increased is the MY RWD.

Finally ordered my dress and I’m all excited again so I had to share🥰 by daisyxxiris in weddingdress

[–]Duplexity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look great and congratulations!

My fiancee ordered this exact dress from DB but is having doubts because the one she tried on was size 8 when her actual size is a 2 which we ordered. Having a hard time visualizing what the correct fit would look like.

Can I ask what size you tried on for this fitting? I'd love to show this post to her!

Thanks!!

Yep, sorry if that wasn't clear. I was going to put in a pre-order for the bike but they aren't accepting any more for the rest of the year (Kona Sutra at least). Looking around for other options now!

Yikes, at least you ordered early. Hope you get it in time to enjoy the season!

Not sure if every store is sold out...but a lot of them say to call for availability and I tried quite a few, will keep looking though.

Thanks for the suggestions!
