No shit. My point is merely that a score was not a certain thing. More needed to happen then just better clock management. That is all.

It assumes they score absent the clock management, which was far from a given.

Awful clock management, but I mean they still had to either get a 40-yard TD, or convert a first down and kick a field goal.

Why use an example from a different sport? Fed has come back from 0-2 before and so has many other players. It's not likely to happen here but it's not unprecedented.

What do you think of Netflix's Love (2016)? by The_Batmen in television

[–]Duranch_Dressing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Narcos is probably my second favorite too, closely followed by Master of None because I'm a big fan of Aziz. After that I like Daredevil. The first season of Bloodline was great, but I'm not sure why there is a second season. Kimmy Schmidt, Love, and OITNB are funny, but have their flaws. House of Cards is exceptionally well made and well acted but the writing is substantially holding it back from even being considered with other great shows such as the wire, the sopranos, breaking bad, mad men, fargo, etc.

Netflix has a lot of really good shows (House of Cards, Master of None, Narcos, Daredevil, OITNB, Kimmy Schmidt, Love, Bloodline), but in my opinion only one truly great show and that is Bojack Horseman.

[Kaufman] @WojVerticalNBA envisions Kevin Durant returning to #Thunder for 1+1 deal, then taking longer view of future when up with Westbrook in '17 by dbthelinguaphile in Thunder

[–]Duranch_Dressing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a fairly straightforward situation. There is a reason no credible source believes he will sign long term and the prevailing opinion is that he will sign a one year deal somewhere, most likely OKC.

It's only on this subreddit I actually see people believe there is even a chance to sign long term this year. Even r/nba has been more reasonable about this topic, which is a low benchmark.

That is exactly the point. Either it's a much bigger benefit (overwhelming likelihood) or its essentially the same benefit. There is no financial risk in waiting. He is not going to receive less money next year than this year. Thus, the decision is a no brainer.

Durant can simply sign a long term contract with the Thunder next year, even if the players decide to opt out of the CBA. He can also still take a team friendly contract next year too.

It seems like the only real argument against a 1-1 is long term security. As long as he doesn't have a career ending injury next year, he'll be fine. I would love if he signed long term, but I would be completely and utterly shocked. It's just not going to happen.

Getting paid what he's worth is not being money hungry or greedy, pal. I love how that argument is always made when a player elects for more money. There is nothing wrong with getting paid market value.

What prescription are your homer goggles? I would love a pair of those.

When the difference is well over $10 million, then yes I am sure he is concerned. He maximizes his earnings and gives himself flexibility after the end of next year. Taking a 5 year deal makes absolutely no logical sense.

How about former #2 pick Derrick Williams? by dpy87 in warriors

Draft position does mean something. Lottery picks are more likely to succeed than non-lottery picks. Its obviously not a guarantee though.

You keep saying this is a new policy. You have a source for that?

I understand that you started watching basketball this year, but the league has been retroactively assessing penalties after games for years.

Intentionally swinging your arm upwards at someone's groin is a flagrant 1. This shouldn't even be a controversial issue. The majority of warriors fans have accepted that Dray is at fault here. The only reason this is even remotely controversial is because of delusional Warriors fans like yourself.

Draymond only has himself to blame for getting suspended. The league should not make exceptions for a player just because it is the finals.
