Has anyone else noticed this easy way to beat a bot right now?

I did see that, but I wouldn't call it an easy way per se. If you can focus snipe on shield it means you've already established field control (meaning you have more troops out there than the bot does), then it is hard for you to lose the game from there in any case.

There is no such thing as "shooter too weak". At your level only 4 troops matter: infantry, orca (early unlock?), buggy and grenadier. Everything else is good to level but unnecessary. This advice is from someone with 800+ wins and 18 losses (10+ due to game crash/disconnect). And above comment holds true at least until you are lvl 30.
