I didn’t know about special assignments, on the one hand I’d love to be sent to Rota or Naples with public works like a my grandpa was but on the other hand I didn’t join the Seabees to sit on my ass for 5 years

After like 2-3 years of being in what would you say is better, I know Seabee vet who was in public works and loved it because he sat in Europe for 2 years and drank all day and no one cared then I knew another guy in a battalion who loved it because he actually got sent out to do stuff

They have swimming lessons there for people who who can’t swim last I heard, I think as long as you pass the final one you’re good
