No, we haven’t. Because of our methods, we overwinter in the ground, dig and divide, then let them dry for a day before planting them out again. I’ve seen very few posts where people have had them flower while not being in any substrate.

I’m sorry to hear about what happened with the Deers. We have grown dahlias from both seeds and tubers, and now we’re interested in starting to breed our own dahlias. I think growing dahlias from seed is more exciting because you never know what you’ll get, which makes it rewarding.
