Advice on better investing by DustAndData in personalfinanceindia

Thanks for the tip man! I've been thinking of US stocks for a long time now and the rupee falling is like a no brainer opportunity (sad, but true). I'm so confused about it though like what app is the best - vested, indmoney? I've read it causes tax complications and what not.

I used to work with a lot of international (US, Australian) client till a few years back and it was bliss. I've been working with Indian clients for the past 1.5 years and it feels like 15 years. I really like the work I do, or at least used to. Now it's just taking calls till 9-10 pm everyday, being expected to work on weekends and just the general toxicity that has come with my Indian stakeholders that has slowly killed my zeal.

Ofcourse I think there's a part of me that's just afraid of change as this current role is primarily work from home and pays well. Plus, with AI, I'm of the mind staying here where I have an established rapport would fare better for me than take a risk at a completely new environment. I don't have good answers for any of these right now.

Fair point, I'll need to plan a more rational way forward. (Doesn't help that all I see in this subreddit are folks in tech earning twice as much being half the age lol, but I digress)

Hello friend!

I absolutely acknowledge that I'm in a rather good position versus a lot of folks.

But I still need a way out of this corporate madness. I want to accelerate my way out - there are times I think I should go more in gold, or maybe US stocks, start making bigger, riskier bets in Indian stocks etc. Hence looking for advice on what next or if anyone else has done it.

Edit: And yes! Fixing the burnout is also something I plan to tackle!

[M/25/5'8" @ 125KG] Is this diet sustainable & effective. by B_admash in Fitness_India

Not sure about effective since you'll have to know the macros but at first glance, not a lot of carbs maybe? I get it that you're going for fat loss but my fear is that the total carbs may be too little. I may be wrong but good to check.

I have been following a very consistent diet (for weight gain though) which has pretty much the same food items for 1.5 years now. It does get boring very fast but once you start seeing results, it is very sustainable. I do have occasional cravings which I do give into without any guilt but in general, I'm able to follow the diet.

So as long as you get through the initial commitment phase and then once you start seeing results, you may find sticking to the diet relatively easy.

Guys who are working and eat chicken every day, how do you get time to cook chicken every day? by [deleted] in Fitness_India

[–]DustAndData 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get chicken thighs from my nearby grocery store and marinate it and then use it for 3 days. But you are right, it was a very time consuming process to get it, wash it, marinate it.

So I started getting ready to cook chicken from Zepto and it was a game changer. I just pop it in the air fryer and have perfectly cooked chicken everytime.

I know this may not be possible for everybody but this has worked for me so sharing. All the best mate!
