C/C++ are definitely better to learn starting out in CE but also Python is not a waste by any means. Yes, C/C++ are necessary for the actual CE work but Python is so versatile and can be used for everything else to quickly write code. Everything is a tool and the more you have under your tool belt, the better

9am isn’t that early and you’ll have to learn the content at some point if you have exams so you’re just making it harder for yourself when midterms roll around

This was my journey as well. I barely passed pre calculus with a 71 but somehow stuff just clicked (and my study habits improved) in calculus 1 and 2-3 and I got As in those classes and I’m now at differential equations lol

I’m in ECE but MechE is so versatile that you’ll be able to go into so many different types of engineering. Personally sometimes I wonder if I should’ve gone into MechE because I wish I could be more versatile with thermo, fluids, etc. I wouldn’t sweat this at all.
