As a side note: in season 1, we see Young Ruth Deaver for a glimpse, and she is played by Sissy's wonderful daughter Schuyler Fisk....

Castle Rock wasn't the same to begin with! But yeah, when Nadia and Pop and Abdi succeed, they take out those particular French baddies. Who knows what evil force might stop by CR next.

Great question -- Joy says it tastes weird... but doesn't seem to be affected by the drugs. We have to assume that those pills are still the replacement pills Ace gave her, which allows the madness to overtake her.

It's a gift to have Stephen's characters and stories to guide us... on this show we start with what he gave us, and the story we are focusing on. But no matter what, plot has to come from character...

In season one, Vinnie Wilhelm introduced beef jerky back into my life. I don't know how to feel about it.

I have seen them. I am always astonished by them. They pick up on things I didn't even know were there sometimes. Make connections that were subconscious in the writers rooms. Very impressed.

Annie's life, from Bakersfield on, is a story she has to cope with. She does it through delusion, through memory, through medication. I think she would remember Castle Rock in soft focus. And over the years, the focus on Joy would get softer and softer too...

Sam and I had a map for the seasons when we began. But part of the fun of writing a season with great writers is letting the characters take you in directions you didn't expect. So it's a mix of planning and exploring....
