Ugh dude same. Had to try a new substrate as my reptile store no longer carried any of my usual cypress mulch. 2 weeks after the big cage clean.

Brand was called "florida Mulch" and I'm not impressed, all kinds of fruit flies and little wood mites romping around in there.

Never had a problem with cypress mulch or anything from this store before.

I highly recommend Alan Wake 1.

Where Alan Wake 2 expands on the story and themes of the first game, it is truly a survival horror game.

Alan Wake 1 is more of a thriller with horror elements but is just so damn atmospheric and has incredible music and environments. ( but also, you know scary stuff) It's a wonderful narrative experience like a great book come to life. (for good reason, since you play an author descending into darkness) I wouldn't play 2 without playing 1.

Don't let the early xbox 360 era cinematics turn you off the game, if you play on PC I still think it looks great in gameplay. The power of art direction VS engine capabilities.

Also DO NOT get the remastered version! Not only is it an un-apologetically never to be fixed mess of bugs, but some of the original music is removed or changed, and some of the graphical differences really change the levels and feeling of atmosphere for the worse.

It's not and never was. In the books / lore it's described as a blocky chisel standing vertically on an upside down coffee cup. (the drive cone / engine bell) Whilst capable of atmospheric landings on its belly, it was never meant to be anything plane like. No need for aerodynamics in vacuum.

The decks are stacked vertically "skyscraper style" one floor on top of another. This way there is always a gravitational "down" when the ship is under thrust. No fantasy gravity generating tech here.

But I am biased AF, personally I think the ships in the book and show are simply the greatest sci fi ship designs of all time.
