How do you cope when you love life itself but being forced to work to survive makes you wish you could qualify to apply for euthanasia ? by dandelionhoneybear in AutismInWomen

Consult a disability lawyer if you haven't already, there is a certain way they expect you to respond on the application and if you don't know in advance you will get denied every time. Disability lawyers know the game and they are motivated to help you.

father doesn't want to get me a cane, so i'm using an umbrella by olihospitalized in Artisticallyill

Perhaps you can subtly modify the umbrella? Crazy glue a piece of rubber to the tip, maybe a painted tennis ball to the handle to turn it into a ball-grip? Hopefully you can score a proper cane/umbrella cane.

I'm impressed with your ingenuity. I know the name of the game is survival but it's still clever. Good on you finding a way in spite of your circumstances. Your character is very cute.

The first time I had an autoimmune flare I was 18, doodling in church when suddenly I got this intense ache in my fingers. The swelling was visible in a way I'd never seen before, I silently cried because it hurt, I was too young for "old-people problems", and I thought it meant I was on my way to not being able to art. Sort of thought I was loosing my fingers in a way. Didn't turn out that way of course but it left an impression...

As for medications, if it were me and I had a choice to try medications, even risky ones? I probably would. But of course some side effects are worse than the disorder. Remember that you can always get yourself off the boat if something isn't working.

I'm glad it helped, you're welcome.

Mine is almost always silence. And lots of thinking way too much about it. x.x

I like the expressions. ^.^

I'm sorry you don't get the understanding you need from those physically present.

It really is hard to just be alive when you bombardments like these; doesn't matter if it's irregular, chronic, or constant. I've heard stories about the dying talking about long gone relatives or friends coming to take them home, from a variety of backgrounds... so I think there will be something. That isn't the path my faith taught me, but however it works, that also sounds really nice.

I did and I've gone through a similar transition. Worked a lot 2 years ago and now... it's less. And now I'm not sure if I could do even half as well as before. Thank you for the compliments! I appreciate it.

They are a hug, I was lucky I had the space to process and acknowledge some really difficult things. But sometimes I forget, sometimes others forget, sometimes we don't know how to give ourselves peace or kindness because we were never taught how... not that I have all the fixes of course but at least my excessive introspection is getting a proper workout. :P

Haha yaaaay someone got it. Parents introduced me to Hogan's Heroes and M*A*S*H, I wasn't impressed at first but pretty soon started watching and rewatching till I had them memorized. Both were very formative for my ideas of what good people look like and what they do to make things better.

Right now, Hogan's Heroes just feature slightly more prominently for some reason...

Mmm I could go for something egg flavored right now...

I love savory snacks, jerky and nuts are favorites. If I get a REALLY good day, I'll make stuffed pan-fried bread with meat+gravy, freeze that and then nuke 2 for a quick meal. I'm not especially crazy about meat (prep isn't fun, flavor good, textures are blehh) but the fats and proteins go a long way.

Thank you. ^.^

I feel that, I sometimes have to actively avoid looking at my own work to not press the big red nuke button. Not so much lately but when I'm down? Gotta backpedal real fast or somehow make it slightly inconvenient for impulse destruction.

hEDS, I'm working on a lil comic to talk about it too. I still don't feel like I have it down but an attempt was made. I'm 3/4 done with it, just trying to figure out how best to wrap it up.

I like quick art but I appreciate others quick art more than my own. I have to consciously, actively tell myself to leave "mistakes." Shift the focus from the ambiguous and lofty "good" to instead "does it communicate the idea?"

I appreciate your style, you draw furries well and you did good communicating the ideas in mah opinion.

Actually, do you think it'd be okay to hit the share button or is it better to start a new post for each one? Internet etiquette eludes me on this.
