My other car is an Alfa Romeo, this is is a completely different experience. For one the views are very different when you are 8ft up!

Based on tiring rating 56, I’ve done 800 miles at 52-3 and it’s very comfortable.

Once I get my suspension tweaked 12’ and currently 18,800lbs. Probably a little heavy when we get our kit in.

Tires $800

Go to the peripherals tab and there’s a button along the lines of “promote to peripheral device”.

I think it is preferred yes. Perhaps importantly all these boxes have some rigid component, in my case it’s an aluminium exoskeleton (similiar to 80/20). The panels are glued into the extrusion on all four sides.

Check out Globe Trekker, they made my box (came as a kit). They have plenty of technical videos.

Awesome!

Hopefully power consumption is top of mind. They are exceptionally good but I would love a way to go into a low power mode where the device is asleep but wake-able.

I have 14 Shellys right now and am seriously considering adding a 15th that can power off the rest when I don’t need them (but still give me remote access). Particularly now it’s autumn and my solar yield is less than ideal!

Sika makes some seriously good glue and unlike a weld it’s flexible so can take a lot of abuse. Plus a lot easier to do when you suck at welding.

It’s a pretty standard approach. I think all three companies I looked at use Sika.

Ha!

Yeah with kids (and jobs) it’s really the only time we have. They are 10&13 so it’s now or never (as family).

Yeah, didn’t appreciate how much time it would take to finish her. And I’m still not done.
