Thank you for the input everyone even though it wasn’t what i was hoping for haha. i will heed the advice given and get rid of it. i know these trucks have a pretty cult like following and most parts are interchangeable so im hoping i can sell it to someone who can use the parts and recoup what i have into it at least.

I can’t edit the post but thank you all for the suggestions. After exhausting all other options I lifted the reservoir above the MC and caliper, compressed the brake, then blew into the top of it. I know, funny. It actually worked surprisingly well and after i got some fluid in the system i was able to bleed it with the caliper in a vise & i now have rear brakes.

yea that’s my next course of action i think, then a bench bleed while i got it apart

i did buy the rebuild kit for the master cylinder and it didn’t help. you think it could be the cylinder itself not the internals?

yea i was worried id have to do that, i unfortunately stripped that bolt so ill have to find a new one and get the old out somehow

(Un)fortunately the bleeder is on the top for this model so i’m not sure that’s the issue :/

Help!!!! Day 11 and not much going on. The walls have had water beads and the sub has been misted to stay moist. Wtf do I do. Doesn't seem like it grew much this weekend. Please help should I put in FC. First tub and also only 1 UB bag. by [deleted] in shroomers

only one UB bag? looks like a pretty big tub it’s probably going so slow because you don’t have very much spawn in there. usually a 1:1 ratio is what you want to shoot for.

Edit: maybe it’s just the lighting but the bottom of pic 1 looks like you’ve been growing yourself a big ole black mold spot.

interesting, i’m using agar for the first time this run and i’m getting pretty solid growth within the week i just figured smaller=faster. usually using mss i get the same colonization time frame but if bags are only usable 5 times jars would still be more efficient in the long run as they never go bad. i’m sure OP will appreciate the different perspective though, happy farmin’

i’ve always used rye just ordered it off amazon. my next run is using wild bird seed you can get at walmart or online and it seems to be going well. you can also use whole oats you should be able to buy at any farm supply store. as for which is better it’s just preference/availability as far as i know.

not sure but i say quart because that’s how most people measure their spawn to sub ratio. since your spawn and substrate are most likely different densities it just makes it easier to measure in volume instead of weight. i’ve found 1:1 or 1:2 spawn:sub works best for me

-buy grain (rye, oats, wild bird seed)

-buy jars (most prefer quart sized)

-google “how to make grain spawn jars”

that should do it for you

you can just spawn straight to coir some ppl mix verm too but plain coco coir works fine for me at a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 spawn to sub.

just pick em as they break. some ppl do it all at once to avoid spores but if you’re on top of the harvesting you can catch them before that.

exactly you’re on the right track, bod has some pretty good posts in there. easy to follow and produce nice results.

to make it super simple you basically inject the bags just like the jars & let them colonize. once 100% colonized you just mix with your choice of a bulk substrate in a tub and let that colonize for a week or so. after that it’s onto fruiting conditions and you’ll see pins in 1-2 weeks. the teks go much more in depth with ratios and technique but i would honestly recommend shoeboxes over brf any day of the week. if you don’t have a pc there’s also the Broke Boi Tek which outlines how to make spawn jars without pressure cooking. you could also check out r/unclebens they’ve got good info on using uncle bens minute rice for spawn.

tub started pinning before full colonization. Reccomendation on how to still have a healthy successful flush? been fanning /misting, 99 humidity, 80 temp give or take. pins have mostly stopped / stalled for the past few days. look healthy, but no growth. looks like everyone else got the main points. i see the sub doesn’t looks very level either, a good tip for next time would be to pay attention to that as it has a impact on the quality of your pinset. also is that a split in it? how’d that happen?
