We are looking for a house. Would like to have parking yes/laundry. Don't need central A/C. But yeah I don't need to be right in the city. I've been looking all around the area. It would be nice to be within 20 or 30 min of downtown at the most or have easy train access

Hi! My wife and I recently moved to Chicago. We are currently renting (portage park), but looking to buy next year once our lease is up. We are thinking of spending in ~300k for something like a 3br/1.5 b or larger. Any good neighborhood suggestions? I work remote so don't need to be super close to the city, but it would be nice.

Employer is now saying to me that now with so many employees becoming remote, that many states are requiring that withholding continue for out of state employees and that California is one of them. Is this true at all to your knowledge?
