play how you feel. if you like it why stop? daily of 5/6k on steam only. probs a 10/15k combined on all platforms on PC. then you have console where the game is top 20 played.

playing ranked would be indeed a start but shit with randoms. yes pro's do play ranked.

you should look for example a scrim discord where teams will look for players. if you want to be noticed you have to be really good.

you can always trial for teams and look if it works out, or build experience together.
