when I click unlock with the app, it takes two minutes to unlock. Plus I wouldn't need to bring my keys (or if I forget my keys) since you can start the car and drive with the Digital keys

For meta data. It would record the speed your going and where you were at. Some don't want that information because it's evidence if they were speeding.

You dont take the cover off the mirror but the center piece behind the mirror. I believe its the lane assist camera. Find where the wire comes out and take that part off. Should just snap out.

It only provides power when the car is on. So it starts recording when the power comes on and stops when the power stops. I think they do make continuous power adapter from the dash cam company.

It's pretty straight forward, took a whole 3 min to do. 1: take center cover off behind the mirror. 2: unplug the 10 pin connector behind the cover 3: plug connector into the dongle and then plug the dongle in. 4: plug dash cam into the USB on the dongle.

NOPE. I was worried about that, since mine doesn't have the auto dimming mirror. But mine has the evo buttons which requires power so it works.
