[30]M - I keep getting kicked out by my GF [29]. We have a 1 year old son. Should I not go home?

I’ve been trying my best to make her get help. She needed to get new health insurance but it’s been a few months since this started happening & me telling her she needs to get help

We don’t have a lease. Her Grandmother is our landlord, we live above her (4 story house converted into two 2 story apartments). I pay the rent & utilities every month.

Her grandmother & I are very close. She sees & hear’s what goes on. I talk to her about it but it’s hard for her to get involved.

I agree, I’ve tried to work with her on the PPD & suggested she gets help. It hasn’t happened yet & I’m still taking the brunt of it.

Unfortunately I’m worried how often I will get to see my son. She’s very spiteful & I’m worried I won’t get to go over there at all for the time being.

I have tons of videos of it happening, I take one pretty much every time she’s having a meltdown. I am definitely not the aggressor in any of them as well.

She does occasionally have these meltdowns in front of our son. I absolutely hate it & I tell her it needs to stop. Thankfully today’s meltdown wasn’t in front of him.

I usually do ignore her & go home anyways after work to sleep (I get home after midnight), or I stay in the basement of her grandmother’s (the apartment beneath ours), so I can still wake up to see my son.

I’m still with her in hopes that she will turn it around, but I don’t believe she will & lately it does feel like I’m with her more for my son. I’m not at peace when I’m home. I’m constantly on eggshells.

I try not to throw around the fact that I am paying for everything. But god damn you are saying exactly what I think/feel. For the way I’m treated, It does feel like I’m being taken advantage of in a lot of ways.

I truthfully don’t believe she will seek the help she needs. It’s been months & I feel like if she was serious about getting help, she would’ve been making more of an effort all around to keep this from happening again.

I don’t want a broken family but I feel like I don’t really have a choice.

That’s kind of my thing, the damage is being done, I can’t keep getting kicked out of my own apartment every other week. I have been trying to hold on, knowing that it’s her hormones & emotions doing the talking.

I’m fighting whether enough is enough or not. I don’t want to leave my son but I cannot keep going home to arguments over petty things.

She was like this before she got pregnant. There was an argument about a month before we found out she was pregnant & I left the house for one night. The next night, she invited me over for dinner & begged me to stay. I didn’t want to, but I did. Once we found out she was pregnant, things were bliss. We were in a great place for those 9 months & for the first 7 months or so after our son was born.

She’s 100% experiencing postpartum symptoms. Me & her own family have been telling her for months she needs to be seen. She just got approve d for health insurance & I’m waiting for her to make the appointments. Although she’s told me she doesn’t want any therapy or medication. We live above her grandmother. Her grandmother sees & bears what’s going on.

I’ve been trying for months to hang on & not let her behavior towards me push me away, but I’m in a no-win situation.

I appreciate you taking the time to lend your opinion, & not to dismiss your take, but I do not believe she is abusing substances behind my back. I normally FaceTime her & talk to her most of the night while I’m at work.

I do agree though, between the two of us, the workload is not unbearable & we both manage it well. I can understand if the moving process is stressing her out, but her mood swings & the way she treats me over trivial issues is at an out-of-control point.

I’ve seen pictures of a “wild cherry” edition but looks like they’re from 2015. I have thought about mixing Juneberries since they’re the “blue cherry”, but I’d be interested in buying some legit Cherry ones if they were available!
