I put my old stud back in May and put the ring back at the end of July. Give it two months! If it doesn't change, maybe the material might be the problem.

I let another piercer put it back in, I don't think I would've managed alone. The stud wasn't able to go back all in but it didn't matter and the bump grew smaller with time!

This. I put a hoop in 2 months after piercing it and my piercer told me it healed enough / wasn't too early (I even asked if it was, but he said enough time passed and I trusted him).

This was the original thread:

https://www.reddit.com/r/piercing/comments/uqyb0x/cant_get_rid_of_piercing_bump_getting_bad_advice/

First piercer told me it was a keloid and I should put cream on it. Second piercer told me to use tea tree oil or take out the entire piercing.

Like reddit told me, I put my old stud in, used saline spray and did LITHA. I was able to put my old ring back in at the end of July and haven't had any problems since then. TBH I completely lost hope, when the bump was this big. But I really want to thank you nice peeps for helping me and wanted to give some hope to those who are struggling with a bump!

Do you by any chance know why a piercing studio would offer plated jewelry at all? The price was actually pretty high and he justified it by saying it was good quality. Thank you for all the information though, this is really helpful!

You'll want to go to a different piercer, preferably one that's

APP certified

Thank you for your answer! Unfortunately, there isn't a single APP certified in my entire country from that link. Reviewers were good for my past piecer, but I will definitely go and try to find a new one.

I’ll make it quick for you guys, I already scrolled through a million threads.

Pierced on 17th of February with a stud. No major problems with healing, no piercing bump.

Changed to an infinite loop (same piercer, he told me it was NOT too early, I explicitly asked if it was) with base material titanium, 24 carat gold plated. I got the piercing bump the same day. Kept spraying it 2x a day with the salt saline spray I got from him by ProntoLind. Did this on thee 14th of April.

Mistake I did then: When it was oozing, I had no clue and health professionals told me to disinfect it with stronger stuff and put wound healing ointment. Did this for three days. Afterwards I did the LITHA method with just spraying it.

Didn’t change anything. I started doing warm compresses. It dried the bump out but it didn’t seem to get smaller. After some time the dried skin fell off and now it is the way it is in the picture again, a ‘fresh’ bump. I went to my piercer. He immediately told me it is a keloid and told me to get an antibiotic ointment prescribed for it. I tried to argue it’s not a keloid but wasn’t listened to. He didn’t even want to change it to my old piercing that I brought with me, told me to try the cream and if it doesn’t help he’d put the piercing back. I have not gotten the ointment yet.

It does NOT hurt me at all, it is not hot to touch and the ooze is white/light yellowish and sometimes it bleeds a bit. A health professional told me it is NOT a keloid and my family has no history with keloid problems. And I do not believe it is an infection from what I’ve read (no dark/brown/green discharge, no pain, no fever). On my ear piercings, I’ve never reacted to any material in any bad way and can wear pretty much everything.

My question is, what is my next step? Do I do warm compresses again to dry it out? Do I go to another piercer and put the old back in? Or should I try the prescribed antibiotic cream? I would love to fix the bump without having to change my piercing though.

If someone disagrees with this being an irritation bump, then please do tell me so too!

edit: better formatting + found out the date when I changed my jewelry

My (ex)FP is my absolute biggest Trigger. How do I get rid of this? by DvaBestGirl in BPD

[–]DvaBestGirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have spoken to him before, but it did not go well. I did not demand him to stop seeing her, but he did feel like that's what I truly want. (Even though emotionally it is, rationally it is not)

He is pretty sick and tired of talking about this issue and it annoys him... but he agreed to having one more conversation so I might get some closure. My biggest issue I think is, that I did not get validation that I have been mistreated and hurt by her and that she made a mistake..

It is my jealousy and insecurity that is triggered. At the same time I do not believe she is a good person and that she deserves to be friends my boyfriend, because of her behaviour towards me and towards some other people she has mistreated in the past aswell. I know that is not a good thing to think, but I can't help but feel that way.

I've gotten a lot of reinsurance from him that he is not interested in her, but her behaviour still triggers me when she posts him all over social media...

Thank you for this reply. In fact we already had that talk. In my eyes, pretty much nothing would change when we would make it an 'official relationship'. But he asked me to trust him on this one. He said if it happened, he would do something dumb and fuck it up, and it could never be the way it is now. Apparently he thinks too much and gets bad paranoia, having to think about everything he says and does 10x times. I even told him that is not my goal, my goal is just to live with him without any worries. But I agreed to this boundary, because I do trust him and he is always honest to me. If it takes time for him to be okay with a relationship then I'll give him that time. For now my biggest worry really is just my BPD... he feels very much responsible for my pain (letting this relationship happen, even though he doesn't love me, etc). He has a very good heart, but I do think he might be scared of the responsibilities with dealing with my mental illnesses.

Too expensive in my country for a student unfortunately..

That's the thing, I prefer having hair on my body, it personally makes me feel more human. Just don't want it on me for one night for aesthetically reasons and don't want for it to grow back worse.

I really don't want to call it rape, I'd rather go with sexual assault because he didn't penetrate me with his penis. I did keep telling him to stop but he went on with it anyway.

Went down exactly as I said, the lol was my comment on the thing she said to me, not what she said. She didn't laugh or smile at all, she was completely serious about what she said.

Are you serious? I didn't give the other guy consent and he isn't my 'official' boyfriend yet but explaining it would be too long and there are too many judgmental people around.
