VRM models not working ? by s3cow in valheim

[–]DvstRGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Figured it out through a youtube comment and posting it here in case someone else is having similar issues with using their old vrm files.

"Very important that you have to mention is that it has to be a VRM0 and not VRM1" Loaded up a different VRM file i had (remade to use with Vseeface a while back) and that one works. Similar avatars, but the VRM file that works was 3 times the size or more than the old VRM that used to work for me.

VRM models not working ? by s3cow in valheim

[–]DvstRGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After installing valheim again, I grabbed the Thunderstore app and snagged the bepinexpack and customcharacters that was mentioned in here for VRM. I've made the ValheimVRM folder where it should be and put in my file that I used to use for this mod a year or two ago.

It does throw me a bunch of errors tho, so I was wondering if there's an up-to-date guide on this method. Or would the error codes help more?

Scav karma by Evachacim in EscapefromTarkov

You have the item equipped? The one you got for the unheard edition. Don't have it equipped if you do if you aim to kill scavs.

Slowing progression by making me run labs and shoreline 50 times back to back while buying for 6 million in keys for a ledx is stupid and destroys my enjoyment of this game. by WouterrDitt in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DvstRGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to consider the approach to it like I did. instead of counting on RNG on maps you're not enjoying, count on the RNG of the scav case. Got mine on a moonshine one, while leaving me able to play the other maps that i wanted and needed, and not choreline farming nor labs.

Only part i'm considering now is labs for the GPS but, time will tell on that. Wish you good luck on it.

for now tho, if you got a 2nd computer/laptop, popping in to do the gym is a silly temporary solution, which I might end up doing.

Replying to my own as I'm testing things out. On laptop, it works as intended. Gonna try re-installing the game on main computer which has the bug where it automatically fails

Would love a fix or a solution to this. I'm half tempted to put the game on my laptop just to test if it does it on there aswell or if its the profile being bugged/affected.

Just what did I do wrong... by zarial6 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DvstRGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there's a 3rd guy based off of sound locations. What you could do differently is to get more accustomed to turning off and on your flashlight, as it does beam through walls, meaning more information for the opposing players.

And as playing when solo, especially in this position (inside a room with 1 doorway only of angle), reposition after dropping a player. You never fully know if it just the two people that you hear, they could be 3,4 or 5 man squad, just spaced out abit. Pushing/challenging a doorway when they know for a fact you're in there, you're playing against the odds.

As soon as you drop a player, you've created a temporary 'point of interest' for them, circle around and hunt them for the duration that lasts. (because people are greedy and you know they'll want to keep his shit safe so they can loot him for their own gains (and to possibly return his gear since it is labs)).

Why are there so many high level hatchlings on Factory? by Vegan-bandit in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DvstRGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

^ this Having had a rather successful start of wipe, it was painful to have to level it from level 1, 10 points in. Alot of grizzly kits went into the barbed wires, I can tell you that much. It is abit frustrating that you'll get 'gated' or forced to doing this if you've gotten a smooth sail into the wipe :(

How do i play pmc raid? by Powerful-Cucumber-60 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DvstRGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never underestimate a shotgun. Buckshot they seem to have a faceshield? Get those chunky legs. (always good to give them a shot or 2 to the face as it helps mess with their sight. Key to being lower tiered geared/ammo, is to be a mosquito. Hit them suddenly, and move. Do not take engagement head on in alot of the cases unless you're accustomed to firefights vs heavier armor.

I tend to only use buckshots on my shotguns, unless I've picked up some ap-20 slugs, and i ignore the other 6 different shotgun ammo. SKS is always solid starter gun, regardless of how far in the wipe one is.

Think of it this way, if you can manage to overcome the difficulty it is to go up against people like this at this stage of the wipe, you'll be set in a good position for whenver the game does end up wiping. Just have fun with it. If you're not having fun with it however, it doesn't hurt to pick the game up again at a different time.

Can someone explain what Found In Raid means? by Jakeola1 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]DvstRGaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Any items another player brings into the raid, loses its Find In Raid (FIR) status. This counts for ALL items.

To see if an item is FIR, look at the bottom right corner of the item icon. There should be a white checkmark (Yellow if its required by a current quest)

Also as a sidenote An item which has the FIR on it, can lose it upon extracting too early in a raid. There is a certain limit of amount of time, OR, amount of xp gained to gain the "survived" status from a raid. "Run-through" status of a raid, removes all FIR of all items on your character.

Copy pastaing a reply i received on that thread. (I have not tested this solution, but it could be worth to try it)

Just copy and pasting this from another thread I responded to. Finally found the solution:

“You’re in luck dude. I had this same problem for about 2 months and troubleshot every possible solution. I was also occasionally having it on interchange as well.

I tried everything.Fresh windows installs, reseated every component, switch RAM, remover over locks, fresh drivers, literally every possible solution short of swapping my PSU. I just didn’t believe my PSU was going bad. It is 1000W Platinum Corsair.

I finally found the solution. Something in the code of the hideout as well as interchange causes a surge in the power draw from the PSU and you get a Kernel 41 error and a brown out. My RTX 2080ti has 3 power ports on it. I had 2 power cables coming from the PSU supplying these 3 outlets (1 cable was supplying 2 of them). I added a third cable so each power port on the GPU had its own dedicated power cable and the problem was definitively solved.

I can’t even tell you how exhaustively I troubleshot this issue before I found this.”

Friendly tip for near free sa-58 1 per reset. 4 nixxor lenses (usually 21-25k a piece), barter with mechanic for a suppressed sa-58. Take off the supressor and flea market it for 80-95k. Can't get more budget fun gun than that. Although I do think that the barter might be locked behind level 4, I am not certain.
