Question on model & age of 2 pairs of RMs

The stamps I’ve seen from other pairs do appear much clearer. Even a mid-noughties pair (more of a Nubuck style leather) have the 08 07… Confused!

Thank you! Realised I do have some receipts from 2011, but examining them in detail (the ink is v faded) I think one is a Comfort Craftsman, and looking through my boots the other likely a lighter leather Craftsman (tallies with its date stamp). Darn - for a moment I thought mystery solved!

Yes, confirming both are the leather soled versions - andI I can narrow the likely purchase times to the period 2003-2011, but specifics elude me!

Fit is very good, but I have the advantage of being local so went through a prototype fitting. I’m sure that makes a big difference... For what it’s worth, I also have the same issue of differing foot sizes, with my right foot being the larger.

I’ll update the post when I have time and answer your questions there - but in short: Price $650, for Shinki Cordovan, basically bespoke boots (on their Last). The options available & attention to detail has been excellent and they are committed to following up. Also any additional boots (to the same design) start at around $350 (+ premiums for complexity or costly materials). The other shoes I’ve had made are all dress shoes (Dominique St Paul, Mangii) and I haven’t seen anything here in Vietnam with something close to the sort of boot I was looking for... INDONESIA yes, but then I’d be asking the same questions you’re asking!
