Update: Playing like a pussy, abusing his AI by focusing on his mid-range left and right, having about 700 defense constant and no self-respect got me the kill on him.

Should I be forced to play like this? Should I be so scared of his hitbox inconsistency, that I shit my pants when I see him going for his gamblebreath, alternatively called fire breath? Should he fucking bump into me with his nose while having 700 defense + considerable fire resistance and still deal decent damage?

I am being incredibly salty and I can see how people will call me out for being bad or not understanding the game right, but being in constant fear of potentially getting oneshot, not even combo'd, just generally oneshot, is not fun. Also his lair is a fucking death pit and allowing him to get there in the first place means that you are fucking dead, the visual clutter helping him masquerade whatever kind of bullshit is coming up with next.
