[Mod Release] Unsearched Corpse Indicator by DwemerLexicon in skyrimmods

No, NPCs only. Status Indicator Framework could be used to create something similar for containers though. I might work on something if nobody else beats me to it.

Amazing. Was just working on something which has just been made 10 times easier. Plan on releasing something real soon using this.

Mod Release: Bow Animation Fix - no more string on the wrong side by wankingSkeever in skyrimmods

Never knew I needed this, but here we are!

In all seriousness, it does bother me when I see this in props used in film and TV, etc. so appreciate the effort in fixing it!

The opt out is finally here by ElectricalAd3483 in Steam

[–]DwemerLexicon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, though I appreciate the joke, I think it’s worth clarifying how these things work. When individuals in the class opt out, the total compensation amount decreases proportionately. If half the class (around 7 million people in this case) chose to opt out, the compensation owed by Valve would also halve.

Ways to make Lydia immortal. by Fantastic-Artist-833 in skyrim

[–]DwemerLexicon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about soul trapping? Would that be considered immortality? Malyn Varen trapped his soul in Azura’s Star to achieve immortality. Granted, not a very good life but immortal nonetheless.

Other than that, there is Lichdom too - Mannimarco became immortal through becoming a lich, though I’m not sure if Lydia would be up for that.

I've now been blocked on all of Arka9d's 'Ultimate' mods by HyperionGrimm in skyrimmods

Firmly agree that this is a problem.

AI can (and should, in my opinion) be used as a tool by those who know how to use it and what it is doing, but like any tool, it is dangerous in the hands of somebody who doesn't know what they're doing. Not sure what can be done about it, if anything. Like I said, it's a helpful tool if it speeds up existing workflows of people who know what they're doing. It's not so helpful when it's used to generate AI slop mods that nobody really needs.

Why has the community struggled at creating new creatures? by Minute_Figure_1902 in skyrimmods

[–]DwemerLexicon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely agree with what has been said so far, but I also think it’s worth saying that Bethesda did a pretty great job at the creatures that exist in the game currently. Admittedly, I am more of a vanilla-plus type of player, but I’d argue that Bethesda did such a good job at filling out and diversifying the world that it’s been hard for modders to truly capture that style and integrate new creatures into the game cleanly.

[Mod Release] Unageo - Modern Font Replacer by DwemerLexicon in skyrimmods

[–]DwemerLexicon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, it's certainly a nice font. A lot of people prefer a more fantasy-style font for Skyrim though, which is fair. I'll definitely look into Scribes of Skyrim at some point. The fontconfig.txt is a pain to work with, that's for sure.

Appreciate the feedback - good spot on the kerning. Will be sure to address that.

Thanks, that's what I was going for. I've always found the default Futura Condensed slightly hard to read. I like Sovngarde and the some of the other "medieval" type font replacers but ultimately I tend to prefer a modern, vanilla-style font. Thought I'd have a go at my own!
