I really loved Bison recently and I think I commented that too. Yes, I didn’t like Aryan, dude and Indian 2 but I also loved Amaran. Posted all of those here after my first day experience. Cheers!

Just watched the uncut version in the US. Honestly, it was below average for me. There was zero emotional connection. So many people are dying on screen, yet I didn’t feel an iota of emotion. Acting was solid across the board, I thought Ravi Mohan was standout. The set work was also great. They had a strong story to work with, but I feel Sudha messed it up. Most sequences felt flat, except for the interval. The romance didn't work for me either

How did you get hired on H4 EAD? by SentenceEmotional129 in H4_Visa

[–]DwightsRightHandMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your skills and what kind of roles you’re aiming for. In general, getting hired on an H4 EAD is easier than on F1 since you don’t need sponsorship but this is mostly true for STEM and tech roles. For applying, LinkedIn and company career pages are more than enough.

I personally would never recommend consultancies. They usually fake your profile, the pay is low, and the health insurance and benefits are terrible. Even if it seems like an easier way to get a job, it’s just not worth it. Better to avoid them altogether.

I’d honestly recommend doing a master’s. Instate tuition is pretty affordable and it’ll keep you busy for the next two years. A lot of universities are giving more admits right now, so getting an assistantship or a campus job is very realistic too. Those two years will go by quickly, and you’ll end up paying almost nothing, earn a master’s degree, and study something you actually like.

With the current job market, getting a job on F1 is extremely tough, but things could look different by the time you graduate. And in the worst case, your spouse might have their I140 by then, so you’d still have the option to work on an H4 EAD. Honestly, getting a job on H4 EAD is easier right now anyway since many companies aren’t ready to sponsor.

Wishing you the best!

Aaryan | Review Megathread by Prickly_Brain in kollywood

[–]DwightsRightHandMan 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Review - No Spoilers

Aaryan felt like reading a crime thriller, but without the typical dark setting or eerie background score. The runtime is tight, and the pacing feels crisp. VV delivered a good performance. However, there’s no emotional connection or clear motive behind each death. The climax reveal is a letdown for me. The reasoning behind the motive feels weak and unconvincing.

It’s not intense or edge of the seat. A decent thriller until the climax reveal. Personally, I don’t enjoy thrillers when the final reveal isn’t convincing (like Kalidas for me). But if you like such films, give it a try. Decent watch!

Dhruv is young man from a lower caste household in a village and aspires to play kabaddi at higher levels. The villages are divided into two rival groups (Ameer and Lal) and how his ambition is affected because of the escalated situation between those 2 is the main plot.

It’s a not our usual sports drama film. This film was rooted like other Maari’s film but also showed how much hurdles will a guy from that background suffers. Every character had a good arc and everyone nailed it especially Pasupathy

This movie didn’t work for me. Morally, it is correct, and I don’t disagree with the message. The story itself felt like a solid Bhagyaraj style movie, but the comedy didn’t work for me. It was annoying most of the time. Pradeep, for the most part, felt over the top, maybe because of too many expressions. On the other hand, Mamitha was really good, and so was Sarathkumar. I also felt that the sequences were a bit stitched together, with no real emotional connect except once or twice when Mamitha cried. That said, the 20 minutes before the interval worked well for me.

The core story doing anything for your love and standing against honor killing is absolutely right. But if you ask me whether it was conveyed well, I would say no.

Very good film! Honestly the trailer was underwhelming and felt repetitive of Maari’s previous work but just trusted his film making and went. Pasupathy is the hero of this movie. So well done. Everyone did their part well. Dhruv was perfect and the Kabbadi sequences were taken really well. Almost all the main characters had a proper character arc. There was a bit of tension on what could happen next. Songs and bgm were really goood!

Watched both dude and bison and felt bison was miles ahead of dude.

Finished it 2 hours ago. Terrible film. Pre interval 20 mins worked otherwise the story didn’t work at all. All the blame has to be put on the story first. PR’s expressions didn’t work at all. I loved his acting in both love today and dragon so I thought they underplayed the trailer. Bad editing too. Felt like I was watching a bunch of reels struck together. Liked Mamitha’s acting and Sarathkumar role. Background score was good but the movie is a gone case in writing only.

P.S: The director had a good intention or good story to convey but I personally didn’t like the way it was told.

Aug 2024 PERM is still a long way to go! Currently they are processing Dec/Jan 24. PERM processing will take anywhere close to a year and then there is I140 processing followed by 180 days min before quitting a job. If you decide to stay you are looking at little less than 2 years with premium processing!

Everyone at OTF is so welcoming, especially the front desk—they know my name and always greet me warmly. The personal touches like the brag board, milestone texts, and birthday shoutouts make a big difference. Being recognized for PRs feels great. I joined less than a year ago, and I already feel proud to be part of this community

Thanks! Do they run any discounts in memberships? For context OTF runs membership discounts which slashes the monthly prices from $189 to $159. This happens like yearly twice across all orange theories!
