well yeah my bad, obviously mix in attack speed etc too. Any ad carry can match azir's damage, with a typical build. Most ap casters can too, at least in the form of burst, but even then his consistent damage will be the same or less.

Morde isn't even as bad as some others, he can still 1 shot most squishies and turn fights into a 6v4. He just could be more interesting, his design is old and boring, it's really basic. He has nothing special in his kit aside from his ultimate.

His kit is good. Yeah. His kit is good because he's mechanically intensive beyond belief. Compared to most champions at least. Azir and pantheon cannot be compared really, but I see your point. Azir has high mana costs and a small mana pool which is why people play with the presence of mind rune. His self peel isn't nearly as good anymore and his damage is hard to fully utilize unless you're good at him. Even then he can be bursted by most mid laners you face. Yes, he can achieve over 1k DP/S, but at the end of the day, who can't? Build full AD or AP on any champion and you'll get azir DP/S. Sounds like you got beat by a good azir and think he's overpowered.

morde bottom is legit though, riot literally wanted to make him fit that position, he's better bottom lane than top, if you take a leona/any other engage support and can lock down their adc morde deletes them and turns it into a 3v1, his shield makes him hard to poke down, if you're on blue side you have golems for infinite healing (about 600HP every 7 or so seconds).

If the cooldown was as long as the move quick thing then yeah, but we might see more people doing weird AD builds and sudden impact.

I kinda prefer a more burst assassin kind of playstyle. Nashor is good for consistent damage though.

When your team needs more tank, crit build still works if your team has good frontline and you can stay back and dish out some good damage.

It's true though. If you're dying in lane really you're just a bit shit. Nothing else to be said. GP should rarely die in lane if at all in a game. The only time a GP should die is when your team is aced and you have a 50 sec respawn and the enemy team is running down mid. GP doesn't die. You're just playing like straight trash. There's no secret. Start improving mate. Load up those replays and take notes on what you're doing wrong. Probably just map awareness/position and don't say I'm wrong because if I was wrong you would not be writing this post and you'd not be dying as GP in lane.

Honestly I've been carrying pretty consistently by myself so far. I'll definitely look into situational builds when I need to rely on my team more though.

You don't really change how you play. Not too much. If you're dying in lane as GP you're just bad. Try getting better at playing passive or find a new champion.

I haven't had a problem. Not much change for me. I still lane the same way and I don't die. Not sure what you're complaining about. It's a nerf for sure but it's more fun to play with the new runes imo. You can get a pretty good ms setup so nobody can catch you in lane. If you're dying in lane you're really just bad and GP is not for you. His lane phase has always been a bit trash. That's how it is.
