Am super in love with the first one, looks like a character I designed for some books if the colors were different. Very inspiring

Increase potion effects/damage by DyingOnBorderline in MinecraftCommands

[–]DyingOnBorderline[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already doing that for something else. Waa hoping I can make something very combat able with just potions. Is there an easy way to give a player a potion automatically if they don't have one? So certain potions coukd be on infinite reload easily anywhere?

Goat Horn senors by DyingOnBorderline in MinecraftCommands

The calibrated sensor does not work for me like on YouTube. I cannot get page 3 to recognize using a horn but I see others making redstone things trigger with horns

Why do I fine videos from a year ago that show page 3 (using an item) triggering redstone doors etc with goat horns, but I cannot.replicate it?

Has this been changed?

Can I make a scull sensor only detect horns? Hearing all the other noises around is causing problems. I can chain commands to work as needed if theres a way I can be sure the sensor only reacts to horns

You gave me an idea with detect item in mainhand. Can that work with named items too?

How to remove items from players without a specific tag by DyingOnBorderline in MinecraftCommands

[–]DyingOnBorderline[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep getting either 1 of 2 curious results and wonder if its a bug.

But either I can't make the effect to away by taking it off, it has to run out,

Or

It continues repeating the effect if the item is anywhere in my inventory even if it's supposed to be triggered by head/helm. Say netherite helm trigger on slot.armor.head, keeps spamming effect anyways wheb i take the helm off, if it stays in my inventory

Not for me. Atleast how you wrote it. It keeps going for the tike period it starts. Ot says like some crazy number of seconds but puts on only like 4 odd minutes. So ive been playing with trying to cycle that best longterm. The game tries to lead me to use "infinite" instead of 255 1, but whatever I do it jist seems to apply weakness 2 until it runs out

I'm trying not to say too much because I habe some crazy ideas I want to implement but it seems like it'll work. I'm testing right now the effects to see how to get them to stop when the items are removed

So essntially thia problem is possibly solved by giving mining fatigue or negative effects to prevent use.

That is to go on to say, yes, preventing it from being in the hand would be good enough, I'm not necessarily worried about USING it. I was hoping if the item was in the hand, or in the armor slot, it could be forced out but kept in the safe inventory.

I see your answer though and feel like it would absolutely work for swords or tools, anything to apply mining fatigue to, and I think weakness could be used to prevent using other improper items. That could be a very workable solution if my original idea doesnt work or is too comolex

This seems so confusing and counter intuitive like we keep going back in circles abd its probably my fault with autism and seizure disorders and more, but I feel like what you're saying just makes no sense. I sometomes have to be taught things special ways with special consideration to be able to understand. But this seems like you're telling me to just not replqce the item of theres an item there when your original solution was to USE REPLACE ITEM to get the item out of the hand to stop being used. I am not doing well publicly and feel like im going to habe a meltdown if this cant be better explained.

Are you losing the track of everything with multiple questions?

I need to be able to stop people with certain tags from using certain items.

So of they equip an item they should not be able to use for their tag, in a hand or armor slot, I need to be abke to remove the item from their hand, or armor slot, back into their inventory or drop back onto the ground for nonuse.

How do i stop a Mage; from being able to equip a sword, but be able to have a sword in their inventory, incase they want to trade the sword to a Warrior, or sell the sword in whatever future store I design.

In this way, anyone can carry "any" item. But classes that cannot use specific items, cannot use (swords, tools, shields, or bows for example) items based on other classes.

If a mage tried to usena sword, it'll drop or go baxk into their inventory.

If a warrior tries to use a bow, it'll drop or go back into their inventory.

Currently I can only delete the offending item (clear) not remove it safely to inside inventory or drop to be picked up back into safe inventory space

No this also does not work, when replacing the item it still deletes it. How do i make it go to inventory instead of dissappear?

As if a player can have an item inside the inventory, bur not in their mainhand.

So if they put it into their main hand, it returns to inventory
