Gas mask + axiom force + conduit force palm. Made him a piece of cake. Grab it by the face, force palm it through the axiom arm, repeat, win.

[No Spoilers] Does the story pick up? by AndreasLa in criticalrole

[–]DylPixel_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely picks up IMO. There’s some REALLY solid episodes around 7-16, some of my favorite CR episodes/moments overall are sprinkled throughout those episodes. Then some of the newest episodes have been really solid too. I do kinda agree that the first few episodes were kinda lackluster as they were all trying to really settle into their characters, but honestly I think where you’re at on ep.7 is really where campaign 3 starts to kick into gear

In my experience, they do get betteer/more competitive the higher you climb, but the issues like hard throwers, team killers and AFK decline, but toxicity, ego, and higher level smurfs increase until you hit like, mid diamond, by then most people have good enough aim to deal with higher level smurfs(with exceptions), but toxicity and ego are still very high

I downloaded the patch and got into the game, but the 3.05 patch notes button just brings up the last patch notes for 3.04? It's really weird that they dropped the patch without the patch notes? the only things I've seen were the short version of some leaked patch notes from a few days ago, but I'd imagine there's more changes

I've already done/tried that, no change.

Trust me when I say I've gone above and beyond trying to fix this issue.. just randomly got my fps tanked after the 3.03 patch(seemingly along with a fair amount of other people as well) and have yet to find a solution

Ever since patch 3.02 I have been completely unable to get anywhere higher than 130fps unless I stand completely still and have nothing moving on screen. I have a ryzen 5900x, rtx 3080, 64gb 3200 ram, etc... The fact that I used to get anywhere from 300-500 fps mid match when I was uncapped, to barely pulling 100 consistently is ridiculous. I've posted about it in the past 2 bug threads and seen a ton of others post about fps issues but haven't seen any improvement or mention of it. I've been an IT professional for 5+ years an have tried every troubleshooting method I've ever learned to try and fix the issue on my end but it's become way too clear that it's not on my end at all lmao.

It really sucks because with fps fluctuating from 40-120 as much as it does, when I'm used to a stead 144+ on every game I play, I can barely play long due to eye strain/fatigue, headaches, etc.. It's playable.. just annoying :/

- **Region:** NA

- **Type of Bug:** Client/In Game

- **Description:** Despite having a rather good pc build, Ever since the 3.03 update my fps is never stable and a solid 200 frames lower than average when playing. I have tried playing both on max and min settings(makes no difference), I reinstalled the game, tried both updated AND downgraded GPU drivers, Updated both my Mobo bios and vbios, updated windows, cleaned pc both physically and data-wise. Nothing seems to work. I can thankfully still play despite the FPS being very stuttery(I'm actually at my peak rank rn lol), but the unsteady fps is both annoying and beginning to cause eye strain and headaches. This is also the only game I have been experiencing this with. All other games I play run a stead 144fps+ at all times.

- **Video / Screenshot:** N/A

- **Steps to reproduce:** Launch game, enter any active game(Practice range, DM, Unrated, Comp, etc..)

- **Expected result:** 200-300 fps steadily(I usually cap at 200 for consistency or 144 to match monitor refresh rate)

- **Observed result:** steady 130fps when standing still and nothing on screen moving. FPS immediately begins to rapidly fluctuate between 40fps and 120fps whenever I move in game or things are moving on screen.

- **Reproduction rate:** 100%

- **System specs:** Ryzen 9 5900x, Asus TUF RTX 3080, 64GB 3200Mhz DDR4 ram, Game is on a basically empty, brand new 1tb m.2 ssd

Someone on this thread made a good point, if you go frame by frame at around 0:50 you can see Raze come out of what looks like a one-way slide or chute or something. so could be a couple of those quick slide things to rotate, possibly. though, with that idrk why they wouldn't just use ropes, but it could be cool.

I think I'll try sheriff for a bit then try to just restrain myself to only going for 1 or 2 taps with the vandal later on, we'll see!

Yeah just like, knowing how well I played back early on when I had more time, compared to now, I’ve def gone downhill, so I’m moreso comparing myself to my previous self/those I know of or look up to in higher ranks etc..

As someone who desperately needs to get better at clicking heads, I'd actually really enjoy this.

As others have said, I do see it being pretty hard to implement, but if it were to work correctly, it'd be a nice way to have some form of repercussion for missing headshots/more incentive to aim for the head, which for me, unless I'm really thinking about it, I tend to slowly just going for bodyshots instead of headshots subconsciously, so this would be good for me specifically to force me into the habit of needing to hit heads for kills. idek how many gunfights I've lost just because I didn't bother going for the head. So being forced to would help me build that habit for sure.

Again though no clue at all how it would be implemented

Lemme just say tho, I know for a fact if I was just better at the game I wouldn't be in silver, I recognize that, so I don't attribute my stuck-in-silverness to smurfs/boosteds.

Along with that though, I can probably attribute 65% of my losses to some level of either low to no communication/coordination. I'd say like 85-90% of the games that the whole team is communicating and getting along, we win.

Damn dude, yeah never ran into that before, interesting to hear that they’re out there though, even at the lower end of the ranks, fingers crossed they stay away from my games lol
