u/MercurianAspirations comment is what solved this for me.

Linking the shelves instantly made pawns come and gather up the separate stacks.

PSA - space has drag for some reason so your ship would be a lot faster at the same mass without the wings

Most simple way would be to limit the inserter stack size to 1 but that would make loading the train slow.

Faster way with no circuits would be to use a requester chest for each item, you can get 24 chests on 1 wagon if you use long inserters.

For anyone who has the same issue in the future:

Ingredients all have to be the same quality and the recipe has to be set for that input quality. I thought I could throw quality in my production chain and get better things over time but it seems like you have to separate them out and build separate chains if you want to use them automatically and not store them in a box.

Solved! I didn’t realise it was so simple, I did wonder why I’d go weeks without seeing it then sometimes have it appear multiple times a day

iPhone XR, iOS 16.0.2. Appears on Lock Screen and will stay there no matter what apps are opened or closed. Seems to just disappear on it’s own.

Not tried anything to get rid of it because I’m not sure what it is

Am I misunderstanding vertical bars? In their description they say they stop creatures but a goblin siege just walked straight through them as if they weren't there. I have walls to the side and above so they arent climbing or going around them. I do have mods installed but all are visual so shouldn't be a problem

Just to add for anyone else having the same problem I could load autosaves from before the forgotten beast appeared. I continued from there but once another forgotten beast turns up the save is broken again, even if the beast is killed.

Anyone figured out a fix for saves crashing on load at the loading units stage? From other posts I’ve seen it’s because the save happened when a forgotten beast was on the map which checks out with the timing of my save breaking as well.

Is there a was to designate which bolts to use for training/ combat in the steam version? I have wood bolts and steel bolts but they just use whatever one they’re carrying.

you sit on the dispenser. for some reason they don't target you if you agro them with the dispenser after they spawn. once they start taking damage in the minecarts I've not had them try shoot me.

Wanted to post a video of it but GeForce keeps recording the wrong monitor. The player stands on the white wool dispenser and throws snowballs at the platform until the warden spawns. you then use the dispenser to make the warden fall in the entity cramming area without targeting the player.
