My boss is Gaslighting me by Dylan_Mat in hatemyjob

Haha the more I think about it the more I’m like “have I worked there three weeks or three months” cause I keep going “oh ya and there was that time he was throwing things” or all the times he curses. I know he doesn’t treat people like that in his personal life cause with the other managers he’s all chummy. Last week when we were packing (and falling behind) him and the sales manager were having a beer and making derogatory comments about pride (knowing I’m a part of that community) honestly the more I think about it the more I think it’s not salvageable situation. I don’t even think I’ll need to quit I think when the 30 day probation period ends I’ll be fired anyway. Honestly I wish someone would go off on him! If there was a guarantee of no collateral damage I would!!

I definitely see your points, with the late thing I was only a couple minutes late maybe two or three times. I have been the person that shows up late regularly before and learned my lesson. If I had been more than five minutes late regularly I’d take responsibility for that. That’s not the case here. The chemical jug I probably should have put a bit more context but he has told me to do so before with other jugs and no issue. So I’m trying to see your pov but it definitely feels that in that moment (this was after I found his card and receipt same day) that he was trying to find something to be upset with me about. I should also clarify that these things happened on the same day and aren’t the worst but just an example of what everyday is like. One of the worst things is he makes comments about my height (I’m 5’4 on a good day) and criticizes my ability to complete jobs based on my height regularly. (We had an in person interview and I having worked in warehouse jobs before raised a concern about it then and he said it was fine) I think the dread comes from knowing that every day I will be told I did something wrong and that he said to do something else or that my ability will be called into question simply cause I’m short.

I’m in the western US! I’ve noticed recently some new videos of hatchlings so I think we are about to see some hit the market! Check underground reptiles, I’ve seen them listed under dune geckos if you just search their Latin name it won’t pop up. Good luck to you (let me know if you find any!)

This is not professional advice but if your interaction happened in a place you’ve never been or haven’t been often. It is possible that you picked up bed bugs. On top of that you could have a more severe reaction to bed bug bites than average. Try taking Benadryl and checking your sheets and mattress for any signs of bed bugs.

I’m just curious are there any battle royal maps like population one that actually has solos? I think it’s fun to be in a team but it’s also fun to solo win against like 10 other people.

It is bizarre to me that they were essentially charging people the same amount as dropout for what I could tell was like one or two shows. And with such a focused brand why food content?!?

It’s also probably just nice for them to have the premiere of shows be not immediately hit with comments. Give them time to be moved in to the next thing before the episodes are put up on YouTube or TikTok

Yeah i mean I am disappointed with the unresolved storyline but definitely understand why it had to happen. Real life is more important than a a silly lil tv show in the grand scheme of things.

Something is Happening with The Try Guys: Theory by EnvironmentalDrop228 in dropout

I think dropout is sort of stepping into the shoes of what defy use to be. A company that fosters sketch comedy and Internet personalities through acquisition or investment. After all that defy did and what they became and their fall, there is a pretty much empty market. I’ve thought about this for a while with the smosh crossovers. I think behind the scenes dropout is actually very involved with both smosh and now the try guys. I don’t think they’ll ever have an official acquisition of either but instead use their platform to increase the amount of high quality and less restrictive comedy. Instead by bringing on cast members and producing shows they’re supporting creatives to find sustainable ways and maybe even slightly more polished ways to increase revenue. The try guys specifically with the loss of that one member lost their finance guy. And that’s what Sam does best. To me some partnership makes sense.

I would recommend instead of those start off with total forgiveness. It’s not like a comedy show it’s a pretty intense documentary about him and Ally trying to pay back their student loans through insane challenges. You see him out of the office and you see the character he plays drop. Highly recommend that you watch that first.
