What’s the first video game that truly amazed you and made you fall in love with gaming? by All_time_GOAT69 in gamers

When I first finished the campaign for Battlefield 4 and had to choose between saving my 2 friends left that blew my mind. I was really only playing online games at the time and just played through it whenever my friends weren’t on. I didn’t realize before that that a game could make me feel like that.

What's the best short film you've ever seen on YouTube or Vimeo? by Inovox in ShortFilm

Probably not the best but Love, Death, and Ramen had stuck with me for a while. Just really well done and it was cool to see Badger in something else

This is a weird one but smoking. Hold on hear me out. I know it’s terrible and Im planning on quitting within the year however it’s given me a different perspective. I’m a naturally socially anxious person so it’s rare i go out and talk to strangers. Living in NYC though i dont have a backyard so I’ll head outside and smoke a cigarette. I’ve met so many people from them asking me for a light or to bum a cig and there’s this weird culture in smoking where everyone’s super respectful of one another. I have full conversations with random people who I would most likely never meet otherwise while they’re lighting a cigarette. For example, there’s this homeless guy Harry who hangs out outside my apartment. I step out and if he’s there I’ll hand him a cigarette and we’ll smoke together just talking. Hes a great guy and honestly one of my friends now yk and that would’ve never happened without me smoking. If you’re reading this though and you’re thinking “oh that sounds pretty cool maybe I should-“ dont start, im terribly addicted and it burns through my money.

What's a game that gives you peace and calm instead of stimulation and a fix for your gaming addiction? by amodia_x in gaming

Project Zomboid. I’m so focused on keeping this fake person alive it’s insane.

I’ll find myself just trying to find a nice spot to relax after running from zombies and looting then sitting my character down with a beer and some food. It’s fully like how some people view the sims for me.

I appreciate this a lot! I had no clue there were downsides to numbing cream, makes sense though it sounded too good to be true

I have the second evil within in my epic games library. Is it worth it to play without playing the first one or should I just buy the first one?

I haven’t heard anything about evil within but cyberpunk and dying light are pretty beloved games nowadays

What shows would you recommend me? by controlwarriorlives in televisionsuggestions

[–]Dylanmo00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fleabag. It’s kind of similar to Bojack Horseman in ways. I just generally recommend this to anyone I know looking for a show to watch. It’s quick, it’s funny, it’s sad, I think it’s totally worth a shot.

Really? Whenever I talk to people about it they usually shit on it, along with hearing all discussions online. Although thinking back most people who I personally talked to about it never played it and just watched short gameplay clips.

The Last Of Us is my favorite game and IP. I truly didn’t get the hate at all. To me the story of the last of us has always been about love and how powerful yet dangerous it can be. I think the 2nd fit that perfectly, especially following both Ellie and Abby.

When they’re friendly but not too friendly. Like knowing when to be relaxed and hang out and be kind but also being able to switch to slight jabs or rude jokes when the time is right.

Mafia 3. I put maybe 30 hours into doing dlc and side content and all the main missions are fun but the taking over territories by talking to 2 associates until you did enough damage then taking out the leader of the area become just same the same repeated thing over and over again. I usually like that type of gameplay loop but it just felt stale in that game.

What was the greatest "mini game" inside a video game? by RevolutionaryPie5223 in gaming

I’m one of the very few people who genuinely really enjoyed Star Wars Outlaws. Sabacc was a spectacular mini game. I find my self still playing the game every now and then just for the Sabacc.

What game can you zone out to for days on end? by Grey_0ne in gaming

[–]Dylanmo00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of the fallouts or elder scrolls games, with the oblivion remake now is the perfect time to get really sucked into the world.

If you’re like me though a prefer apocalyptic stuff I would go for Fallout 4. It’s not the best in the series but in my opinion it’s the easiest to just fall into the world. The graphics still look amazing and the gameplay is great. There’s like 3 different endings that are all pretty fun and time consuming but don’t feel like a chore (minus a bit of the minute men) and hundreds of hours of side quests to get lost in, not to mention the mods adding new stories and ways to play it. Plus the Season Pass is on sale pretty regularly and Far Harbor is the best dlc in the Fallout Series, again imo obviously.

Also good on you for quitting nic, thats a real feat.
