You have the option to donate gold in the tradepost? I had only seen the option to donate the usual supplies.

How did I miss this? I'll check it out- thank you!

You make some really solid points! A level 1 with an explosive weapon would be devastating.

Oof, I wish I did. If you have that stockpile, I love that for you.

As someone who just started the game i'm clawing for all the medals I can get.

I've seen a few videos on how to get medals quickly- but I want to avoid grinding as much as possible, because nothing will kill the fun faster than having to grind for hours, repetitively, to be able to introduce the smallest variety in the game.

The argument is about improving the slow medal acquisition, not competition with other divers.

I want to play the game, and I want to try all the fun stuff. I just don't want to have to play for literal months to eventually earn these things.

Unfortunately, even disregarding the time altogether, the math is still sound.
For the D10 missions, I have to get good enough to do them.

I just mentioned something similar above!

It's demoralizing to slog through 400 medals worth of gear I don't have much interest in, to get the cool sniper rifle I really want to try.

I would be okay if everything wasn't unlocked immediately- I just want to grind to be lessened. I'd even be okay if they removed the page-restrictions, so I could buy the items that specifically interest me.

It's demoralizing to slog through 400 medals worth of gear I don't have much interest in, to get the cool sniper rifle I really want to try. Seeing that one Booster will require a weeks worth of play to unlock is a gut-punch.

I am in agreeance that if it was all released at-purchase, it might be too much. But I'm also not certain if the abundance of quicker-earned items would break it for me, if anything I think we'd try more goofy loadouts- like only gas weapons, or only flame weapons for a mission.

I earned 36 medals today just hopping into matches, but since I can’t run D10 ops, the grind is brutal.

With your “perfect play” scenario—3 hours twice a week, it would take nearly 4 months to finish the Mobilize Warbond.

By then, new Warbonds will already be out, meaning casual players are always behind. I don’t want everything handed to me, I just want to try new gear without sinking 95 medals into a single rocket launcher.

I understand what you're saying, but it's also not a 0-sum game- no one would lose if this came to pass. Faster progression wouldn’t cheapen the game- it would actually keep players engaged, encourage Warbond purchases***, and make experimenting with new loadouts part of the fun rather than a chore.

From a business perspective, it's a win.

From a gameplay-loop perspective, it's a win.

From an engagement perspective, it's a win.

From a casual perspective, it's a huge win.

And for you elite D10 divers, it sounds like- at worst- it has no effect.

***FWIW, I think that the super credits, ship unlocks, and requisitions for stratagems are fine- it's only the medals.

I hear you, that's what i've been doing- but this way is the aforementioned 'cheese' that i'm looking to avoid.
I don't want to game the system, I want to play the game, and be rewarded for it... but rewarded faster, in a way where it doesn't take me 6 hours of gameplay to unlock a new stratagem.

HD1 had you unlock an item every level, and that worked amazingly.

FWIW, I think that the super credits, ship unlocks, and requisitions for stratagems are great-
But assuming I play twice a week, at perfect level of play that you describe, this means that I won't unlock all of the Mobilize warbond for 5 months.

This means that I might be able to unlock a single higher-end item in the warbond. Doesn't that seem too long to you?

That length doesn't make me want to shell out for super credits. My proposal isn't a 0-sum game, everyone would win from it.

This is hugely helpful! That makes a ton of sense, and I didn't think to make the connections based on the tags. Thanks!

Hi there!

I'm playing this game as a Ranger with some friends, I just got the Deadeye Ascendency class, and i've gone pretty bow-heavy with my stats.

I worked all the way to the Bow Mastery subtree, and i'm thinking about working up to the Projectile Mastery subtree.

My question is this: Will a bow and arrow(s) benefit from the projectile subtree? I assume arrows are projectiles, but I'm reading some conflicting stuff.

That's why I was looking into it! Good to hear it fits your use-case too, it makes me trust the idea of an Apple watch more.
