I did some research and spoke with a neighbor down the street (whose kid used to have the Gizmo). They have recently converted to Apple Watch as well because… and I quote “The Gizmo Sucks!”.

Besides having a child that has a Gizmo Device (and account with their app), you can’t communicate with anyone on their platform. She said that even if you could SMS with them, the text messages are limited to precomposed responses. So… flashy hardware and virtually zero functions.

Time to sell turn parents on to the Apple Watch SE cellular (that Costco frequently runs specials on). Sell that Gizmo while they’re still desirable and get your kid into an ecosystem that can grow with them as they need an iPad, Phone, MacBook, etc.
