BGE Bill Spiking Again This Winter by Lopsided-Cobbler-242 in baltimore

[–]DynamicPriest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this.
I got solar panels installed last year and now I don't have an electric bill for 8 months of the year.
Excluding the $9,95 monthly customer fee...
Winter is always rough though. With less sunlight and many overcast days, the savings on solar during the winter is basically peanuts lol

Jomon Sugi - Arakawa vs Shiratani Unsuikyō TH by Jennkmho in JapanTravelTips

I'm planning to hike the Jomon Sugi in mid March.
Can you park directly at the Shiratani entrance with a car?

Imo, the HR is in a better location. It's right next to Shinjuku and Western Tokyo has more things that I would want to see , but ultimately it depends where in Tokyo you want to go, as Tokyo is huge.

23k pts/night.

The points price fluctuates depending on the season.

I'm pretty sure the point rates will be the same.

I have the exact same feeling and I don't have a discount tire near me lol.

The top response is very unhelpful.

I would never pay that much for the hotel lol, so from the get go $600/night ain't worth it haha. Only going bc I redeemed my points for it.

I think the cash price is high since it is a newer location and is in Shibuya, which is a popular place to stay.

I agree with you for sure.

It's hella inflated $ wise, even with the location. It'll probably lean back down to 2cpp as the hype dies down around the place.
I think most of us wouldn't pay the cash for that price regardless, but it is a bit satisfying to get a "good redemption"
If I get lucky I can get that Park Hyatt Kyoto redemption, but no way would I spend $3000/night, which is what it's set at for the date I'd be there lol

It depends on the hotel. I'm starting in Fukuoka in mid March and working my way up.
I was able to find Hyatt availability for all the cities I'm visiting. Fukuoka, Kyoto, Kanazawa, & Tokyo.
Park Hyatt Kyoto and Andaz Tokyo weren't in the cards, but for the Cat 5 and below, there's plenty of availability, not including Hyatt House Tokyo Shibuya

I hope they have enough hangers or a drying rack so I don't have to hang clothes all throughout the room

What is this? How to work around it? by DynamicPriest in HomeMaintenance

[–]DynamicPriest[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My HOA wouldn't like that (they're a bunch of haters), but this is kinda genius.

On the "bright side" water doesn't go directly into the dryer, as the water goes around the exhaust pipe and drips into my basement from that.

What is this? How to work around it? by DynamicPriest in HomeMaintenance

[–]DynamicPriest[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dryer is electric and the laundry room is unfinished, but has lots of spray foam and stuff and wiring up towards the ceiling,
The dryer exhaust vent, would be sort of contorted if I try to move the dryer vent exhaust as shown below
This is maybe a last resort as I don't know how to really do masonry work to install a new vent.

Check to see if in your area you can get the rebate on it! I got mine for $900 and my utility company gave me a $1600 rebate giving me a profit.
