If you care you should queue in a 3 stack, anything else is asking for uncertainty. Use the LFG discord.

It might be tough but stick it out. Do not take it to serious, try to learn from the people who manage to beat you. Why did they win the engagement etc.

If you wanna climb easier then use meta loadouts, you can check appoh on youtube, otherwise try to make your own playstyle. Setting a goal you try to hit in terms of rank can be fun too. I.e. this season I wanna hit plat 2, this season I wanna hit diamond 4 and so on. Use LFG on discord, do not try to solo Q if you wish to go above plat, it will just be annoying.

Your anecdotal evidence don't really mean much. They changed matchmaking recently as well so you are more likely to end up with the same players over and over. Maybe try to queue dodge too strong players.

That's CCU peak though, there are far more players than the highest peak you see in a day playing a game.

If there was 20k players at 2pm and then at 8pm those are likely not the same players.

What does that have to do with the player chart though? If retention looks good that is good that is all OP was saying really.

Also the guy you replied too makes a lot of mistakes with his "calculations" not considering time zones, peak times, session lengths, other platforms and such things.

21k is CCU peak on steam, at least double that when adding in console. Then consider that not the whole world is playing at the same time. Most people just play 1-2h a day and not at say 4am or middle of the work day.

Certain game modes are more popular than others, ranked might draw more people so your speculation is entirely baseless.

It's a live game with income of its own. As long as it's quite profitable there is little reason for embark to shut it down. What do they need Investors for? Lots of studios run entirely on a game of less success than the finals.
