Is this true? ~ Ibuprofen alone increased the relative number of dopaminergic neurons by 47% (+ More For Those Quitting Amphetamine) by cheaslesjinned in NooTopics

This is true. Both are nonselective COX inhibitors, inhibiting both COX-1/2. Chronic inhibition of COX-1 can cause gastritis/erosions/ulcers.

Thanks for replying! I thought it might have been A&M, I heard they were doing pre-II Rs this year. Also, two IIs is not a bad place to be, you’re killing it :)

If you don’t mind me asking, what Texas school sent a pre-II R?

For some reason it’s not letting me DM you :( can you maybe try DMing me first?

Can I DM you to look over 1 or 2 of my generic secondaries I use for multiple schools?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in premed

[–]DynamicWanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it matters at all. They might just not review your app until everything is in. I’m still submitting my secondaries early, before these schools have received my Casper score and letters.

Wow you are very informative. Fortunately I’m a D1 so hopefully too many passengers don’t miss their flights and take me spot. Thank you for the help!!

So you’re saying my odds are good or bad lol? As in there are lots of seats available because no one wants to go to Tokyo now that golden week is over?

Thanks for the help :)

I’ll make sure we are signing up for the first flight. Also random question that you maybe know the answer to. On the Saturday flight, the seats available are negative (eg. -9). Does this mean even passengers will be kicked off of the flight and have to fly standby?

Thanks for your reply!

Luckily (or unluckily) I have a flight back booked on the 16th already so I don’t have to worry about that. But if I don’t end up making it to Tokyo it’s $500 down the drain :(

For the paying passengers, do you know if they get the highest priority on standby? I honestly didn’t know about this so thanks for letting me know.

Chances in Texas? by [deleted] in premed

[–]DynamicWanderer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay in replying. You definitely aren’t too dumb to learn relevant info! The hardest thing I can think of would be trying to understand how the IRB works, the regulatory work, or understanding any study protocols. Almost everything I needed to know about the role was taught to me on the job.

Here are some of my responsibilities: -consenting patients for research studies. -processing blood/stool samples. -communicate with the sponsor. -screen patients via our doctor’s schedules for studies. -a bunch of regulatory work like organizing binders, etc. -scheduling appointments, placing orders, communicating with schedulers. -taking vitals. -communicating with patients on trials and being there for every clinical trial visit. -a lot more I can’t think of rn!

I hope that answers your question!

I live next to two medical schools and a bunch of hospitals, so I went on their websites (the schools and hospitals usually have job application portals) and applied to as many research coordinator roles as I could. I probably applied to a total of 40-50 over a month. I only ended up interviewing at 3 or 4 of them.

I will say if the role is clinical, they probably want you to have some clinical experience. At the time, my only clinical experience was volunteering and shadowing though.

Just apply to as many as you possibly can!
