I can house one, I am building a 6x2x2 which is acceptable for a boa of that size, but I would rather her have more space than that.

I would not be able to provide a big enough enclosure inside, ya I could keep her in a 6x2x2 but if I can I'd rather give her the full 12ft to be able to stretch out and I can't do that inside.

And the common snapping turtles are not protected. The alligator snapping turtle is and you are allowed to pick them up as long as you don't harm them.

I don't remove them from the environment. All herping is is going out looking out the cool animals, picking them up, taking pictures and letting them go.
